- GM built the right hand drive Blazer in the US and exported it to both European and Asian markets. Some very cool differences. Oh, and it was available in a manual transmission for export!! But, don't get too excited. The 25 year rule applies and we can't import one for regular street use until 2024 in the US. :-(

I had a black RHD Blazer for nearly 10 years. Was a great vehicle but did not sell well here in the UK - around 800 were sold in total. Not helped by there being so few dealers - only 16 for the whole of the UK. Mine had 130,000 miles on it by the time I sold it. Never had any major problems with it but GM discontinued a lot of the RHD specific parts shortly after taking them off the market so a lot of owners found getting parts difficult or impossible as the vehicles got older & needed repairs. This is why I ended up eventually selling mine. There are 126 of them left registered on UK roads now as of August 2019. At the same time the Cadillac Seville was also sold in RHD - a great vehicle but again, did not sell well - mainly due to so few dealers & a general lack of publicity to tell us Brits that these vehicles were actually available. The Sevilles and Blazers can be picked up quite cheaply now - if you can find one.
Please keep an eye on them for me. I have for years until I can legally import one back into the US.

I like the Brazilian s10 basically an isuzu hombre with a chevy emblem. But the blazers have that fron end too

You can import one of these by proving to the authorities that this looks like a U.S. market Blazer. This is not the first time GM has tried to sell SUV’s outside of North America and the Middle East; Holden actually tried to sell the Suburban in Australia, but it went off the market after 2001.
It seems strange that you can't import one - after all they were built in the US?? I visit a friend in Pennsylvania each year & I often see RHD postal vehicles so they must be legal? Apart from the obvious differences such as RHD, fender flares & different rear lights the Blazers are virtually the same. The headlights will dip to the left when they are on low beam but that could be easily rectified by fitting US headlamps. I was also told that the UK versions had stiffer springs. GM also sold RHD versions of the Cadillac Seville, SRX & CTS for a while too but none of these were very successful. Not because they were bad cars but I think the Cadillac name is not so well known here in the UK. Chevrolet is more well known, I think what restricted Blazer sales were our stupidly high gas prices + the taxation system that punishes people for daring to buy a vehicle with a larger engine. The authorities here will never be happy until everyone is driving a Toyota Prius or a Tesla - LOL.
Brapper777 The Holden Suburbans were built in Mexico. I don’t know why they didn’t spend the extra money and make RHD parts that mirror the LHD parts that way they could sell the Silverado and Tahoe in places like South Africa and Japan in RHD. But Japan makes you pay high taxes for driving a large vehicle and large engine but conversely allows LHD vehicles. And with Japanese Shaken laws, some of them would have just found their way back into the United States, or alternatively to the U.K., but the radio would have to be changed or a band expander added because Japan uses different radio frequencies.
