this is going to sound incredibly heinous but I use comic sans for my zero draft and it helps a lot!! there's something about a messy font that lessens the stress on making everything perfect. I just word vomit EVERYTHING and it helps me so much !!
lmaoo I used to do this for my short stories because I couldn't stand Arial (it just looks so soulless to me? But a fancy font feels too "finished" when I'm still writing). It sort of worked, I liked the spacing of comic sans because it made it easy to read.
@@ZDragonimated yesss haha. I also use verdana sometimes because it's one of the main fonts used on ao3 (lmao) so it makes me feel like I'm writing beautiful fanfiction lol
The thing I love most about your tips it that they always get my brain to think of things from another perspective. Even though I wouldn't call myself a real beginner anymore, I really took something out of it. And the funniest thing is that I didn't really think of of actively using the fonts even though I got them all around me basically all day XD So again, thank you for your insight and inspiration! Seeing someone being that passionate about something always makes my day :D
Talk to text really helps for me. It allows me to talk through and think about what I will say. I think it’s such a great way to “talk” your book through.
Thank you Ana! You are such an inspiration and I can’t wait for your book to come out (it is on my list of books I want to buy). One question though, do you know around when it might come out because I literally will buy it the second it is available 😊

aw hi kelley! im glad these tips can help a wide range of writers. i find myself needing to hear these own pieces of advice over and over again as well!
Guys, no, im telling you im muslims. The part where Ana talks about god is so real. Like, im out here talking to God like he's my best friend. And it's so fun. You guys should try it, no matter your faith. It brings you closer to god
eeek im catholic and i agree soso much!! my relationship with God is a friendship, a mentor and a parent! like, i switched churches after going to uni in another city and my new church encouraged us to build trust and understanding like youd do with any other relationship with God. chat with him! tell him about your day, the things you are thankful for, your goals and sadnesses! he wont carry me through life or hardships or magically fix everything, but for support and the knowledge that i am strong enough to get through and he is always there, cheering me on :))
I’m so happy to have found someone on UA-cam with the same passions and beliefs as me. Thank you for sharing your gifts , ideas and tips with all of us! God bless you Ana!
Although I'm on my 8th book right now this video really helped me. And I'm gonna admit that I've started so many other books and almost immediately lost interest in them. But I am always coming back to my original series and since I already have 7 books about it I can continue, and I'm always brainstorming so many ideas for this series. And yes lol after I watch super hero movies or any movies/shows that are similar I just want to run to my book and start writing. Thank you for the tips I really appreciate it!
Talking with others about your book really helps, that's true. I just talked with my mom and an amazing idea came to my head. Totally recommend it! All the other tips seem really helpful, I'll totally try it. I love your videos, you help so much

I’m trying to write my first fantasy novel, and I’m trying to not make it sound like a stereotypical young adult fantasy novel. But the thing is. I really really like enemies to lovers- And I really want the protagonist to be an assassin-
Can’t figure out if I’m an “extra early morning” writer or a “super late night writer” … I typically wake up around 3am-4am and I write the best until around 7am-8am. There’s something wrong with me and it’s obvious 😂😂

Absolutely on the reading tip- and all the tips, really, but I'm highlighting this one bc my birthday and Yule are around the same time (kinda) and I intend to ask for books. just books. so many books. actually if anyone reading this has good fantasy/horror/fantasy horror book suggestions I'd love them tyyyy
I really want to write because it has always been my childhood dream and I want to write a different world, bring life to characters, and tell a story but my writing is not really, I feel like my imagination is so small and limited, I don't really know a lot of things to write about, and I don't know how to write a character that is interesting and complex. Does anyone feel the same way or have any tips?
hey!! i am watching this video right now (obviously😂❤ ) and i have a question i want to ask, because i´m not sure if i should continue my book like how it is right now. In there, there is a lot of walking from city to city and back and forth and i really don´t know if it ruins the flow of my story because not much is happening but i can´t just cut it out because it would be... just awkward. Maybe you have an opinion or such because i´m stuck and its really freaking me out 😭 thank you in advance❤
i am sure you can leave that part in your story! if ur worrying about the pacing - know that you can fix that up after through editing. i think the 'travelling between cities' is a great way for ur readers to know more about ur characters or give ur characters a break from the plot. hope this helps!
another tip: never constantly use " Said", try using other words like cried, shouted, screamed and etc! if you use said on and off, the reader might lose interest in your story.
Hey @ananeu , I loved your video very much , and the advices were great . But the dead flowers in the back were contradicting your thoughts , you are advising about new beginning and a great start , but the flowers in the back are dead and they represents the end . If you make videos and surroundings don't go with it , it just feel uncomfortable , these are just my thoughts , don't get me wrong . (forgive my bad english) Thanks
Sweetheart you’re literally talking about everything but how to write a book. I wanna write a book about the love of my life and how I lost him and I just want your five steps, but you just keep going on about other things you keep promoting products and then going on about how much we need it no idea what the five steps were. Please be mindful of that.
Christianity is such an integrated cult people don't even grasp that it is, by definition, absolutely a cult. But unfortunately announcing that out loud will just have people questioning your sanity and morals. So, consider coming off the soap box.
