This game is a fishing game. Some games you can just plow through to the end and this is one of them. The way to play this game to have the best experience is to explore and fish and do your side quests, then finish the game. There is still a good bit left to find, and of course to fish, do crabbing and trawling to finish your pokedex! Or you can just hurry to the end and miss all the fun, but that's not how this game is designed to be played. I guess it's just up to the player what is fun for them. I've enjoyed your journey, and for the good lord's sake get on with your boat upgrades, I honestly can't believe you've made it to the last area without even the first upgrade. Most players are so fast by now that they constantly hit the corners in this area, but you are still so slow that it was actually a benefit!
TBH it's more of a quest and encounter game, the fishing system is basic and far removed from immersive fishing. It's more of a little bit of everything: some fishing, some collecting, some questing, some exploring, some upgrading, some economy.
I've enjoyed doing a little bit of everything! I like the nice mix of elements in this game, it keeps things fresh and no mechanic overstays its welcome. I could have done a bit more resource farming to get the upgrades I guess but hasn't been too much of a problem so far 😅
Finally I can watch it. Now, maybe you don't believe it btu I think the way you did things was the better way. I explored a lot and found the old mayor pretty soon, so I always knew there was this good ending / secret ending. So I went for it first. I think experiencing the bad ending first is better. It's just sad that you had to resort to google, but this is not just you playing in your home, this is your job, you felt you had to do it to finish this playthrough and start something else. If you had more time, you would probably have thought of exploring the islands and you would have found the old mayor soon. Anyway. Well played, it was a lot of fun. Thanks.
Heya! I'm always happy when I see your uploads. I hadn't played this game before, but I picked it up and finished it when you started this playthrough because it seemed fun and I wanted to have my own context of the game when watching you play. Looking forward to the next episode! Do you plan on playing the Pale Reach DLC and the upcoming Iron Rig DLC?
Thank you! 😊 I love when people tell me they picked up a game because of my videos! I hope you enjoyed it! I do plan on playing the Pale Reach after the finale, and maybe Iron Rig in the future if there's interest, yeah!
I'm about 45 min in, and you are now further ahead than other playthroughs I've watched. Finish later, after I go out on a Friday and force myself to socialize with strangers. 😅
First comment 😂 hope you are enjoying this as much as we are enjoying Also thanx for the wish on the last post, i didnt get the noti untill it was awkwardly late🙏

Ok, interesting. This game really may be shorter than I thought
it's quite short! really flew by for me
The amount of times he stares straight at the cloth oh it's so frustrating
If you need a hint with the weird fish try reading the writings by the fanatic again
I realized this later while editing the video 😅
