I’m not the biggest wine fan, but when I do have it, I’ve always preferred white over red. I mostly stick with beers ales specifically or the occasional stout. My absolute favorite beer is the Kona big wave.
I buy my wine exclusively in boxes. I'm as unpretentious as they come.

I'm team beer! I'm working and living in Germany, so I've been enjoying all of the different beers offered here as well as from other countries in Europe.
I prefer wine. It tastes better. I love plum saké even though it's not really beer or wine. I even mix up an alcoholic beverage made with red wine on my birthday.
I'm not sure how alcohol works with food. I have tried beer with fried food and didn't really notice anything. Maybe I used the wrong beer.
I usually go for cheaper wine.
I drink responsibly.

I honestly would lean a bit towards beer but I also am ok with wine even though the only wine I’ve drank so far is three different types of Andre brand champagne.

I'm glad I live in a State that has both exceptional wineries and breweries, so I don't have to choose.
Vodka over wine, beer over vodka
I almost always get an upset stomach even with less a glass of wine. So I don't drink wine. That doesn't happen with beer or spirits.
Beer with certain foods and wine with other set of foods. Both great. Not going to choose.

Idk I’m very particular with my alcohol and I never liked fizzy drinks so never liked beer or sodas, I don’t even like all wine.
Mostly just have red wine, sangria, hard lemon iced tea, or mead.

Wine definitely wins the taste category. I prefer semi sweet red wines they are fantastic. Not much of a fan of dry wines. As far as beer I am a Heineken, Miller Light, Michelob Ultra guy.

Okay, you lost me at Round Two. Seriously, wine has a greater cultural and historic influence? Beer was one of the very first non-water libations for humanity, was often used to pay workers, and--in many cases--substituted for water because the local H2O wasn't safe to drink; wine had none of these (with the possible exception of random payment for work). Wine may or may not have won your contest, but the decidedly ahistorical and counterfactual rendering of this particular category shows that you really don't know what you're talking about.
Perhaps you should study ancient history. The modern world has only existed for a fraction of the total world history to include the existence of wine.
The production of beer hasn't created and influenced entire economic markets and worldwide trade like wine has. France alone arguably wouldn't exist without wine. Wine also has been a substitute for clean water for millennia. To that end, what did Jesus drink as a symbol of his physical blood? Not beer. To borrow a phrase, you really have no clue what you're talking about.

@20starcombomaker--It looks as though you're agreeing with me here. Beer preceded wine and was around well into ancient history.
@f1jones544--You're probably right about wine's influence in the modern world, but without beer the societies that developed sufficiently to make wine with that influence may well have never developed. Ergo, beer had the bigger influence because without it, wine's later ascendancy couldn't have happened.
@crobeastness--No, I didn't miss the plot (assuming your comment was directed towards me), as I was taking issue with wine winning that particular category.
