uh happy new year. And valentines, that exists too.
So you know how i said i was gonna take a break in the last videos description? you watched the last video, right? one of my recently worst performing videos ever? of course you watched it. anyways I basically lied. Pretty much spent the entirety of January working on this. I actually thought i wouldn't even make the February 12th deadline, but editing sped up in the second half and i completed it early with a few days to relax 👍
With RTDL deluxe coming out in about 10 days you’d expect me to make a video on it, but since i've already made a RTDL vid i'd rather just do something original, and april fools is too far away so i cant just reupload the old vid with a cartoon filter over it (sad)
might make a short vid about the new abilities but thats it for february.

I love all the references to the fact that death is completely inconsequential in this game since you are given lives like an all-you-can-eat buffet. The Game Over screen may as well be an easter egg.
Health is bumped up and there are fewer pitfalls/crushing obstacles compared to RtD if I remember right as well, unless the Deluxe version toned down the health from the original.
I only died once in my first playthrough of Star Allies. I’ve died numerous times both to enemies and especially to crushing obstacles in Return to Dreamland (Deluxe), and some may/may not be intentional due to me also going in to collect every single energy sphere.

I think the reason people joke about how inconsequential death is in this game is because this is one of the only Kirby games to save how many lives you got after death
True, I have NEVER seen a game over screen on that game.
The amount of lives Kirby has is accurate to the actual game.
The gameover screen in star allies counts as unused content.

@Mario Lucas I had to kill myself so many times to redo the rooms in heros in another dimension to get hearts that I missed. I 100% completed everything but guest Star. I'm not gonna do the same levels over and over just to play as another character 😂

You see, unlike SMG4, Shockhat's videos seem like he actually played the game and made this video from experience rather than just make a video for a gam that hasn't come out yet and therefore having almost nothing make sense in the context of what the video represents. Think about it. When SMG4 made the Mario Odyssey video, the plot barely had anything to do with the game at all, and the only thing representing it was just a hat with eyes. This is especially the case with other games they make videos of. Shokhat, on the other hand, really nails how it feels to play the games. When I watch videos such as Kirby 64: the Stupid Stars and especially Kirby's Stupid Return to Dreamland, there are a lot of moments where I think to myself "Hey I remember doing this part" or "I didn't even think he was gonna include this part of the game". Shockhat is a *TRUE* Kirby fan guy.

@@BMWM3GTR2001 Luke and Kevin, the heart and soul of SMG4 straight up don't the run the show anymore. They left I think a couple years ago to work more on their animation company Glitch. Now SMG4 is being run by a Glitch team that can't and won't emulate the original style of SMG4. SMG4 isn't SMG4 anymore. It's funny cus Glitch shows are actually good (cus they're worked on by the original creators)

This is proven even more true with their version of the star allies video where they even say on the description it has nothing to do with star allies and the title would be weird if it was if mario was in kirby there's 2 solutions to the problem 1. Either make the plot close enough to star allies where it makes sense or 2. Name the video if mario was in kirbys dream land since the plot was about dedede stealing the food
I like it how Poppy Bros Jr literally stays through the entire video, just to kill himself in space, truly the Star Ally of all time.

Back when the game was getting updates, I slowly worked towards getting every character's guest star mode complete.
The reward was a nice little message and that's about it.
What was the message? Also do you think you could try to get all puzzles done? I’m to lazy to do it. Oh also imagine if you had to do that for the platinum crown on your save.

Glad to see you back. This was actually my first ever Kirby Game and it got me interested in the franchise. So it’s cool to finally see a video on it. Plus I’m definitely looking forward to RTDL Deluxe and Magolor’s new epilogue.
Edit: Great video and congrats on the 60K subscribers. I remember I used to play Guest Star Allies and Ultimate Choice a lot. Especially as Dark Meta Knight since I liked his mirror attacks.
