Well, there’s more Forgotten Land models in here than I expected. This is about as good as your Return to Dreamland video, which says quite a lot. I love how you re-interpret some scenes, such as Elfilin’s pointless sacrifice, Fecto Forgo’s chimera form being created and upgraded into Elfilis, and Sillydillo cheating death by having a phase 3 that no other basic boss has. Also really enjoy the tropes discussed here, like the similarities to Project Shadow, Dedede’s mind control schtick, Meta Knight insisting on giving you a sword, etc. If you wouldn’t mind me asking, was Clawroline one of the first forgotten land models ripped from the game? If so, I think I already know why.

This is why I ported her to Gmod after porting Elfilin, since I managed to port him from MMD, so I didnt have to wait for him to get to SourceFilmaker. Eh... It has a 3D environment, but gameplay-wise, it's more 2D since you can still only move on 2 axes instead of 3. The first REALLY 3D Kirby game was Kirby's Blowout Blast on the 3DS.
I don’t think Crystal Shards had full 3D movement for 90% of the game. Also, missed opportunity to compare Forgotten Land to Crash Bandicoot (at least the PS1 titles). While Forgotten Land is understandably less masochistic, it still takes a lot of cues in my experience from Crash Bandicoot, from the semi-linear 3D stages that hide secrets off the beaten path, down to the beach opening from Crash 1. I’m not accusing HAL of plagiarizing by any means, especially since I _love_ the Crash Bandicoot style of level designs, I’m saying that Forgotten Land follows an established, hard-to-mess-up formula, and for the better.

Forgotten Land isnt with its faults but its dedinitely awesome game on par with Mario Oddysey (No you cant deny that Kirby was involved in development in Mario Oddysey given the capture mechanic looks too similar to copy abilities). Tbh, I think it would've been better if HAL lab just ended the cutscene with Elfilin sacrificing himself. Seeing him coming back after a second killed a lot of emotional value. I know it's stated in the game that the time works differently in both worlds but still..

Well, there’s more Forgotten Land models in here than I expected. This is about as good as your Return to Dreamland video, which says quite a lot. I love how you re-interpret some scenes, such as Elfilin’s pointless sacrifice, Fecto Forgo’s chimera form being created and upgraded into Elfilis, and Sillydillo cheating death by having a phase 3 that no other basic boss has.
Also really enjoy the tropes discussed here, like the similarities to Project Shadow, Dedede’s mind control schtick, Meta Knight insisting on giving you a sword, etc.

This is why I ported her to Gmod after porting Elfilin, since I managed to port him from MMD, so I didnt have to wait for him to get to SourceFilmaker. However someone else ported every model from forgotten land to Gmod very recently, wich is why there are a lot of models at the second half of this video.

Eh... It has a 3D environment, but gameplay-wise, it's more 2D since you can still only move on 2 axes instead of 3. The first REALLY 3D Kirby game was Kirby's Blowout Blast on the 3DS.
I don’t think Crystal Shards had full 3D movement for 90% of the game.
Also, missed opportunity to compare Forgotten Land to Crash Bandicoot (at least the PS1 titles). While Forgotten Land is understandably less masochistic, it still takes a lot of cues in my experience from Crash Bandicoot, from the semi-linear 3D stages that hide secrets off the beaten path, down to the beach opening from Crash 1. I’m not accusing HAL of plagiarizing by any means, especially since I _love_ the Crash Bandicoot style of level designs, I’m saying that Forgotten Land follows an established, hard-to-mess-up formula, and for the better.
