- Join me as I try to make my own DIY homemade ink sprays from Wilton Icing Colors! This was a fun and easy (and cheap!). I bought the empty spray bottles at the Dollar Tree (two bottles for $1) and I already had some of the Wilton Icing Colors at home. This makes for a nice and cost effective alternative to store bought. The colors are not as intense as store bought and I suspect that it is not archival quality :)

Using distilled or water that has been boiled for 1 minute & cooled will prevent slime (it happens) AND dropping in 2 bb's (from old nail polish jars or hardware store) will help with mixing.
Thank you for the tip!! ♥
I hope i can buy that colors here in Philippines
I hope so too ♥
Have you tried using alcohol instead of water?
I have not (yet). I'll have to try that and see how it works!
My opinion water wouldn’t be very safe... you surely have the dangers of mold, souring etc & etc, kinda toxic wouldn’t you think?... Use vodka or some type of alcoholic beverage not rubbing alcohol...
Like add colors with water for airbrush
Can we use same method for airbrush kit?
I'm sorry - I honestly do not know if this would be safe for airbrush equipment or not.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! and you're welcome ♥
How long you can store this?
That is a very good question!! So far (over seven months) mine are still perfectly fine!
Thank for your response.I will surely try this tomorrow. I'm looking for an alternative option. I'm glad I saw your post.😊
We think a like, lol. I'm going to use alcohol and give it a shot. Thanks for the Dollar Tree tip! Sweet.
Have fun with this ♥
