Nice video. I grew up in Ouray, Durango and Telluride. We used to do all those trails when we could. There's great skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking, etc there. Enjoyed the trip without having to drive. I saw a lot more this wsy.
It's funny seeing all of the lifted trucks on those passes. I have rode my mountain bike over every one and those guys always look at me like whaaaat?😂😂😂
Oh my goodness. I wanted to revisit some of the trails that I went to back in July of this year, so I looked up California Pass on UA-cam. Your video popped up and as I'm watching it, lo and behold I SEE MYSELF following you in some of the clips! Like my actual 4Runner and I going up California pass behind you 😂😂😂😂😂 What are the chances! This legit made my year LOL
Great video of absolutely stunning scenery. We were up there 7/17-7/19 and watching your video reminded me of why I want to get back there next month. I even remember that same brown car parked on the beginning of Engineer Pass. I wonder how he got back down.
Man these look like fun trails to go on, but I'd be so freaking scurd XD I think shelf roads are the one thing I'm just totally uncomfortable with. Are they all one way? That would make it easier. Or do people come from the other direction some times? That is what terrifies me the most on these. I'd love to find a group of people to go with too.
these are not one way, it was little intimidating for me as well the first 30 minutes, then I got used to, friendly off road drivers, they pull to the side when they find a small spot to let others pass. you learn fast so many things
@@andreafalconmayeux2360I grew up in the region Take the Durango to Silverton narrow gauge railroad. You'll thank me later. Plan ahead though. Get your tickets early. There are times if we got a lot of snow there would still be some in the high country in the summer and fall. Well worth it.
Great video. Been there myself. Couple tips if for the videos in wind get a cat tail ok the mic and it'll get rid of that wind noise. And when your on the shelf roads try to hug the mountain and keep tires off the Cliffside. The weight and pressure on Cliffside is what degrades and damages the width of the shelf roads the most.
Ive done Imogene, Ophir and black bear a number of times. But hoping to see some new scenery and do the alpine loop this season. Cool video and subscribed! I have to ask... what kind of camera are you using for this?

That’s like comparing apples to bananas…… no comparison whatsoever.

thanks for watching, hahaha, that is a mystery to me as well.
Great video man!
Glad you liked it!
Great video but @ 9:08 seemed a little too close for ME to be the passenger ;) .
素敵な風景ですね
It was challenging as well. I took my time to analyze the obstacle and Bronco did the rest :)
Do you think a stock 2Door Badlands will be able to handle these trails?
easily. my rig is stock 4Door, SAS Badlands as well

What month were you there? I am planning a trip for next year and trying decide what month to go. Thanks for video it was great.
I was there July 3rd week.
Oh wow. I live in Louisiana with 104 temps. Looks like it is still colder temps in mountains there.
temps always cooler up the elevation, if you haven't been to Ouray, Silverton area then it should be on top of your list
