Movie Plot: After the Waller family move into a new house, they find an unknown supernatural presence haunts the backyard swimming pool.
About the movie: Night Swim is a 2024 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Bryce McGuire (in his feature directorial debut), and based on the 2014 short film of the same name by McGuire and Rod Blackhurst. The film stars Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren, as a family whose backyard swimming pool is haunted.
James Wan and Jason Blum serve as producers under their Atomic Monster and Blumhouse Productions banners, respectively. This is the first film from the two companies to be released following their merger on January 2, 2024.
Night Swim was released by Universal Pictures in the United States on January 5, 2024.

it felt like I was watching "IT" resurfaced. you'll float too....
I enjoyed the movie. I think the sound in the movie was very good. There should’ve been more flashbacks earlier before the father got possessed. This movie kind of reminds me of Amityville horror.

The sound in this movie surpasses the quality of the characters. I enjoyed the large amount of foreshadowing throughout the movie within the dialogue, however, I wish it was more subtle.

To me For the ending of someone who had to sacrifice himself to save his family reminded me of those other kinds of movies that had something like that I could probably think of two of them the thriller motherly one and the movie come play.
For this movie if I ever see it I would probably give this movie a two star rating it’s a bit Too obvious of the plot and the creatures they were facing

Kind’ve upset that the dad died for no reason.. Because the dad got better temporarily? Seems like the family should’ve benefited from the Dad’s sacrifice. I would’ve loved a fast forward to see some type of outcome or benefit..

Haven’t seen it yet… we want to! After these reviews though, and our own opinions… maybe wait for it to release.
ohhh I love this aspect of the movie though... the disconnect between the dad and son... just like the asian girl and her mother. Her mother obviously did not care about her as much as her sick son (who she saved). This is the whole point of the movie!! The pool kept bringing to the surface the boy and his dad's disconnect... so what does the pool want? aw go ahead and sacrifice him... it won't even matter... the daughter is doing more with her life anyways.. and with baseball as a career again, he will have all he needs. This is what needed to feel stronger.. it was the dad FINALLY walking away from what he always cared about more... for his family. It didn't feel like a payoff because the film didn't connect those dots as strong as they needed to so that when the dad chose to go into the pool it hit harder. Because that was honestly the first time he put his family first.

you know for this movie I actually thought it was like In the nighttime of the pool it opens a dark gateway to the deepest side of the water and in their lives One of some fish people that once the gate is open they swim up ahead to see what they can find and catch what interest Them or even what feeds them.
Right here it just looks like a zombie/ghost story a little bit like poltergeist but underwater
What can I say? I think my theory sounds better.
I actually really liked this movie. The final conflict scene meant a lot to me bc of a personal experience.

movie was so shit i dont think ive ever laughed out loud as hard and as much as i did in that theater me and my two buds were crackin up the entire movie cause of its terrible plot, effects, pacing, and shit ass connections between characters

I thought it was a really good bad horror movie. It's like, old horror movies that are so bad they're funny. Except this time it's modern and well made. Definitely something you throw on while your having drinks with buddies
