You are such an awesome woman not only did you take us through step by steps on how to make this wonderful hair butter (THANK YOU ❤️) but you went on to explaining in great detail how to apply it and why to apply in these specific steps. But you surprised me with some beautiful scripture 🙌🏽❤️ A sister in Christ is a sister for life God bless you girl ❤️🙌🏽 I appreciate you so much 🥰
I did this last year and my hair loves it. Shea butter, tea tree oil, grape seed oil, coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, vitamin e oil and I infused rosemary in mine using the old oil it really helped my hair growth and edges - hope this helps (melt all your butters together ,add oils to it and mix till its whipped fluffy and if it stiffens go back and add more oil and whip again mine stayed fluffy after I added more oil )
@Mrs Mincey thank you . I want to make for my skin hope those oils can be used too If you have an Instagram account u can share with me I would like to chat and learn alittle It's a kind request
I do something similar but I don't whip it. I put it in a glass jar and let it "solidify" . It still stays soft although not whipped textured. Shea butter and coconut oil will naturally solidify if left to stand and it reaches a cooling off temp. Just be sure to stir each oil for a proper mix as demonstrated here and you can skip the whipping process if you choose.
I just made whipped shea butter for the first time in about 7 years. I love this video because you actually explain LCO and how to use the whipped shea butter.
Hey loves! A small tip for removing the Shea Butter out of the tub easily, pop it into a bowl of hot water for a few seconds and then you can further manipulate the clump that comes out into the mixing bowl! I'm only here to help and be helped, this is a small exchange on my behalf for such valuable information, we need to take back control of our hair care products/ ingredients! Thanks for your video love🥰
Let the Shea and coconut oil cool down them mix, put the butters in the refrigerator for 30 mins. Them mix the other oils together and mix for fluffiness
I’ve been using this recipe since January 2023 and my hair is growing and no longer dry. I have low porosity hair. I mist my hair with filtered water every morning then I apply the homemade shea butter recipe cream. I really notice the difference and my hair is much healthier.
I loveeeee you so much such a good teacher to people who don’t know how to take care of there hair. Such an inspiration, thank you fr❤️❤️❤️ and it sucks to see so many black women hate on her bc she says “ waist length” 😕 plz uplift others
Safety tip always have the handle turned away from you when you have pots on the stove. Especially if you have children or animals. You don't want to burn yourself if you get startled. Just a safety tip a teacher taught us decades ago. Thank you so much for this video!!! You are amazing and wonderful. You are amazing.
Amazing explanation honey! I try so much to explain this! I’m Caucasian and have curly hair and make my own products also due to I’m not happy with anything sold in the stores. Love love love your video ❤️
It must have been the Lord that sent me to your channel. I enjoyed every bit. I’ve learned more from this video alone than all the other hair videos plus that scripture girl ✨ May the Lord bless you indeed.
This was beyond informative, you’re so knowledgeable and I can’t wait to see if this works for me. Luckily, I already have all the ingredients at home, hopefully this works for my seemingly grow-challenged hair 😩😩😩♥️
Thank you sweetheart, your video has helped me a lot. Of all the natural hair videos I’ve seen no one has explained the breakdown of using butters and oils to lock in moisture as you have. Much appreciated. 🌹
Be careful when you heat your butters that high, the steam may go back into your butters and wet it helping it become rancid quick. Overall, the butter came out nice and fluffy.
When i put it in my jars i dont close them until the mixture completely cool. Else you'll get thoses drops of water on the top of the lid and thats a noo for me.
It turns out this didn’t work for me 😢😢😢😢 I never wanted to use something so bad in my life …. But apparently Shea butter dries the moisture out of my strands so I have to keep using lighter sealants. However, I will be using the rest of what I made as a skin butter instead. Thanks for sharing, love your content ❤
This is amazing. I struggle to grow back my hair after constantly using heat on it. Will definitely be trying this routine. Thanks much love♥️ P.s you have gorgeous hair.
I absolutely loved this video. So informative 😄 I just bought Shea butter today and wanted to learn how to use it for my hair. This video gave more information than what I was looking for. Thank you!
I have been using this for years and sell it as well. Nice stuff. I also have my own brand of coconut oil that I use to make mine. Chebe powder I add in the oils as well. Getting great results.
I had bought homemade Shea butter from this Haitian guy when I was in Ft.Lauderdale. He had these huge blocks of the butter and he would just scrape it off the block and package it. I asked him the difference of the yellow and white and he said that the yellow was that color because of tumeric.... I don’t know if that was just his recipe but it works WONDERS for my skin and hair!
Well, I must say that I am totally impressed by you. The knowledge that you have shared with us is really good. I am a first-time visitor to your channel. God bless and keep you 🙏
Definitely gonna be trying this! I use the same leave in conditioners as well. Like you, I found my products by looking at UA-camrs with similar textures and some of them are heavy on the butter. I haven’t found the right butter, I usually use oil to seal, but this looks like a bomb sealant, especially for the winter time. As for these debates and challenges, I don’t pay that stuff no mind. At this point, natural hair is so mainstream that people are bored and trying to make something fresh and new when they should just stick to the tried and true. Natural hair is no longer a new thing and they’re chasing that “first time high” so to speak 🤷🏽♀️ But anyway, thanks for sharing ❤
Awesome video hun bless ya. Been using this for a while my hair is being super nice to me😂 I also use it as a MOISTURISER by whipping a small amount with flaxseed gel... Works wonders
Thank you so much for this detailed break down about how to moisturize natural hair and I will definitely be making this Shea butter cream thank you for sharing❤ you're beautiful by the way and so is you're hair.
Hey girl! Came from Tik tok! Loved this video! I do want to point out something if you don’t mind… About the differences of the colour of Shea butter, The white/ivory coloured Shea butter is actually the final form of how Shea butter , while the yellow Shea butter is blended with a natural herb. Here’s a link to the further explanation of the different Shea butter colours : ua-cam.com/video/AF6xxrQXYxI/v-deo.html
When you add heat to those oils, it kills the healing and nutrient properties in those oils, so you're not getting the full benefit of the oils all together. I like how she did mention that she whips the oils together without hearing them, I still think it adds some kind of heat to it, since the mixers are metal and is more than likely heating the oils along the way.
I found your video very lovely and informative but the wash once a month is a no for me. I need to clean my hair at least once a week with either a leave in conditioner Or a cowash if am shampooing once a month. When you have curly hair sweat Builds up On your hair Strands and sits on your scalp easily. Caribbean girls will understand our struggles with the sun. Anyways, I will definitely be using your blend for the next three months and will give you an update, can't wait to try
Let me make this way easier for you... warm all your butters in the oven on a low heat until its soft and starting to melt. Pop it out, add oils and whip. Less heat, less mess, less time, less trouble.
Sick I just commented one of your TikTok videos and decided to watch a video on UA-cam to see how others make hair butter and yours was the first one 😂😂
You are so informative , question though…. Are you letting it air dry all day … or sleeping on the wet hair at night…. Do you just untwist the next day and wear it down or put it up. I’m sorry You did such a great job but I have issues with making it last from upkeep.
