Hi Saulius. Thanks for the video. Why did you sell your Elgrand? Was the Elysion a better choice? I see you didn't do the mileage conversion as the speedometer still shows kilometers. How do you cope with it it whilst driving in the UK?

      Hi, Dmitry Alekseev
My elgrand was in km too. Im ok in kms. It is approximately 30mph=50kms, 40mph=60kms, 50mph=80kms and so on.
To me elysion is better choice. It feels more like a car not like big van.
With Elgrand i had engine problem(history of vq35de engine) and elgrand was tired and it felt to big and wobbly over the corners. Elgrand was top of the range and mid row of the seats could swivel around and rear seat could be lifted on their side to make more room.
Elysion doesn't have electric curtains or guided cruise control and rear screen or keyless entry but i love it the way it drives, delivers power, handles corners without leaning to much, no headache for what to go wrong next.
Ill do other follow-up video about elysion and elgrand(only pictures).
      👍😀

Thanks for the reply. To be honest I did a bit of a research on the 'people carriers' front and finally landed with the Elysion. Obviously the there are other competitors such as the Alphard, Elgrand and Delica. I ended up with the Elysion for exactly the same reasons as yours. I used to drive a Honda Accord ( from new) back in 2006 - 2009. Was happy with it, that's why I thought of the Elysion as the one giving the best experience of driving the car not the van. Well, as I've just got my Elysion 2006, it remains to be seen how it feels driving it. Hope I won't be disappointed although I am a little spoiled of driving a Porsche Cayenne Turbo (957). Can't wait to see your pics and the next videos. Cheers

Dmitry Alekseev Cayenne 957 turbo is nice but elysion with power no where near to Porsche.
Cos you had accord in the past you will enjoy and like it. I was looking to Toyota estima but from 2006 models with 3.5 v6 but i didn't liked idea with rear suspension torsion bar across as i drove in the past few vehicles and handling was terrible.
Seat configuration is very good and rear seats folds to the floor.
Alphard and elgrand are high vehicles so they roll at the bends. Best thing about e51 elgrand is that is rear wheel drive or 4wd optional. Newer elgrand e52 series are at the same size as elysions and front wheel drive.
To make ideal people carrier i would pick different bits from all jdm people carriers 😀

How did that go for you ? Do you like driving Elysion ? Have you found any issues with servicing it (spares, insurance, taxes, etc) ? How bad is fuel economy? Would you advise to consider importing newer hybrid models, >2016y ?
I am after 7 seater MPV that drives well (not a Cayenne level, but my Zafira B when driving in EU is usually one of the fastest on the road, goes 190..200kmh easily and holds tight bends well in the mountains.. I have not seen any MPV or SUV overtaking me yet - excluding racers on the city roads, heh).. so yeah, it needs to be reasonably fast and agile. Plus I would like to carry 5 people plus 4 bikes in the boot (Zafira fits 3 only)

I bet the 2006 outlasts the 2016 at 1/4 the maintenance costs.
50 years ago MBs were indestructible. Now they’re plastic computer games.

Hi Saulius! I finally ordered an Elysion for myself (i have chose to order straight from the japanese exporter so no extra fees for using uk importers) and hopefully will make a review on it if you are interested :) I'm sad that your Elysion history has just ended, but i hope you will get another import and maybe we could meet up one day! Good luck
