I changed to the menstrual cup years ago (before even know about zero waste lifestyle) and to fabric protectors a few months ago. Its the best i could do. As you said, it changed my relationship with my period too. In the last year i switched to solid shampoo and i love it so much, it changed my hair, now i dont like use regular shampoo or conditioner. Also have tried handmade soap bars and it's a different world. I would like to do it my own, because its really expensive for me to buy it but regular soap are pure sodium and it dry my skin. Talking about toilet paper ... in Argentina we have bidet and I would not change it for anything haha. Being zero-waste isn't easy for me but I try my best, buying good quality products and reducing the industrialized ones. ♥ better to be a lot of people taking small actions than just a few ones doing it "perfectly"♥
I keep getting told that I can't be eco friendly because I have lego. 1) my family bought that lego, not me. I am only 13 and I am not going to make then throw away something they enjoy 2) throwing it away would severely damage the planet, so it would be better to keep it, use it, and then sell it to someone else when we no longer need it so they can get just as much use.
I’m very proud that my hair care routine is zero waste! (Oil mask 1x a week, shampoo bar, acv + herbal tea rinse) and that I started making my own deodorant 💗
Im so proud of the shampoo and conditioner swap. And I want to make deodorants and soon soap bars myself. Thank you Marta for such encouragement to pursue a zero waste life.
I have just recently subscribed to your channel and I love it! Super professional, helpful, and beautiful. Thank you for this video, I am very pleased to see someone else who uses magnesium hydroxide as a deodorant. After using baking soda for years I noticed it was discoloring and burning my armpits. I'm especially interested in the soap making, I would love to try it out sometime. Cheers from Canada
I bought a bidet and no longer use paper products (except for cleaning up after my animals) I cannot find a shampoo bar that doesn’t contain coconut and that also works for my hair(my body doesn’t like coconut products) so I’m on the hunt for one.
Bidet is a great swap; I am also looking into it! For shampoo bars, many detergents are derived from coconut, is that what you are sensitive to? or just plain coconut?
Bottega Zero Waste I think it’s coconut itself it attaches to my body and doesn’t come off lol it leaves me a greasy mess. I’ve used it in my hair before as a conditioning treatment and no matter how much I washed my hair it looked oily and dirty the same with my skin. I love the smell of coconut but obviously it’s not something my body enjoys
I can't afford tree free toilet paper. I have bought it whenever I could afford it but it was something I eventually let go of. I do so much that's sustainable in my bathroom. Gotta be realistic.
For all the teens out here I also just started making videos about living a more sustainable life as a teen so everything is budget-friendly :))

If you live in the UK, you can get bamboo, recyclable packaged toilet paper on amazon for 61p per roll!!!! Its awesome.
I'm so glad I found your channel! Do you have any recipes for zero waste make up? I'd love to make my own eyeliner
If you have black eyeshadow you could spray water and make gel eyeliner that way?:)
Or any colour eyeshadow *
