I went to school for robotics and ended up as an electronic tech at a pork plant. Didnt mind the work, no problem working hard, but you just felt owned and your soul was being drained. This is what I wanted to do when I got out of college. Machining combined with robotics. I should have looked harder to find a better job, but didnt think I could leave. This has really inspired me. Looking forward to more automation videos. I work at a little shop and were attempting to automate our process much as possible... slow transition, but we'll get it :)

If anything robots kill mundane repetitive jobs that no one would stay at for more than a year
Increases efficiency and eliminates turnover, but still requires someone to monitor/maintain/manage the robots. So not all jobs are lost either way.

13Anomalous no not saying that at all. Im referring to the mundane portion of your comment.
Union manufacturing jobs tend to have mundane tasks that are so repetitive that you would think that the addition of a co-bot would be welcomed. “Machinists” who enjoy doing the same task for 30 years think robots are taking away “skilled” jobs.

There a very few few ultra precise hybrid machines (cnc + manual) for more hands on prototyping - and the ones that do exist that are any good are super expensive (new). Some things are much faster on a manual for one off set ups that need a bit of 'Feel" .

Turn on Throw Spindel coolant in Tool change and wait 1sec bevor ingagint the new tool cors thats the only way to get rid of the chips in your spindel.... And then you call Fanuc that you get Chips in the Spindle and they just say "Yes we know that happens" :DDDDD
