Features of schwannoma:
- fibrous capsule
- Antoni A - hyercellular (may have varrocay bodies)
- Antoni B - paucicellular, edematous, loose collagen strands
- dilated blood vessels with thick sclerotic walls, fibrin deposition in walls. assocated with hemorrhage and hemosiderin deposition
- subtle palisading
-scattered pleomorphism

I had a schwannoma that was removed from my head. And it was positive for SOX-10 but negative for desmin. My dermatologist wasn’t able to get all of it out. I thought a long time ago I hit my head and I kinda remember this bump that grew after. It was such a long time ago. Will it possibly grow back if it was all removed. He said it was in there pretty good. About smaller than a grape. What does positive for that SOX-10 mean?

Schwannoma usually does not come back after being removed by surgery.
@@JMGardnerMD sir my doughter have left neck side tumor .2015 my doughter surgery did that time biospy report CELLULAR NEUROFIBROMA. After surgery that tumor growing again . After 6 years in 2022 we did second surgery That time biopsy Report NERVE SHEATH TUMOR SCHWANOMMA. DOCTOR said there is no tablets for this tumor. Some cases tumor growing again some cases NO. SIR PLEASE REPLY ME WHAT TO DO NOW. Its again growing what we do sir

What does a nodular schwannoma mean? Is it a plexiform schwannoma, or just a non-plexiform typical schwannoma?
