We don’t do touristy spots, we will dip in to have a check every now and again just to see if we are missing something…but so far our guts have proved us right to stay away. Hope you had a super super Christmas as well 😍❤️😍xx

@@vansforthememories we have stayed at a few. So far we have had no problems whatsoever, although we have then heard that others have had problems. We have chose to not leave the motorhome when not on a secure site, as this is our home. I think personally it’s about where you feel safe, and on the whole it is very safe..but no matter where you go you will always get a chancer.
There are a lot of people here that are over the age of 60, from many different countries, that are stopping to enjoy the winter sun and have been returning to the same place, and even same pitch for many years…so think that speaks volumes 👍😍 xx

Awe thank you Simon, and it is indeed cheaper here, even the cost of fuel 😜👍 The transport network, trains, trams, metro, cycling infrastructure has been amazing so far, and cheap to get about on the public services. Add the cost of attractions generally being free or a small fee…and the beautiful sunshine…absolute winner here 👍😍☀️

If you wanted to stay longer than Feb then Spain I believe has introduced the digital nomad scheme which would work in your favour.
We have heard something about this….need to look into this further 👌😊

Boo happy xmas guys this was great to watch in the winter sunshine it reminded me of when i stayed in tenerife for a month in jan 2017 it was 25 d everyday and about 17 d at night. a little warmer there. love the way you are give in us winter info of spain as you travel.look forward to your next upload
Oooh…could we get a boat over to Tenerife, that would be an experience. We thought we would give the information on winter time as we all know what Spain is like in the height of summer, and we honestly had no idea what to expect. The last 2 days have been 23 degrees, and it’s looking promising for the warmth to continue, better than the Jack Frost at home ⛄️❄️

Hi guys 👋🏻 We had a bit of a catch up last night as seem to have fallen quite behind! You are both looking so happy, Mark is a bit jealous of that beautiful Spanish sunshine you are having 😍 We felt the same way about the pitch sizes and parking up on the site we stayed at in Banyoles, we will remember to try and ask for Comfort pitches, even though Indie is a bit smaller than your home but don’t want to feel claustraphobic! The walk around the castle looked lovely, fab views. I did gasp a couple of times when you slipped Cassie! Looks like a good place to stop and explore 😍 P.S. Love the thumbnail xx

The standard pitches can be very small…and there is no standard size we have found. Some are 50m and other standards can be 80m! Denia was really beautiful, really loved it there, even my slip at the castle 🤣🤣 xx
Lovely views. Shame I can't ride a bike lol. 3 euro, how cheap is that. Lovely views there. Not really ever fancied Spain as just never thought it was my type of place, but in the winter... I could be converted! 18 degrees is my type of temperature too. Glad you've managed to find a site for Christmas. Have a lovely Christmas in the sun.🎄🌞
So much of the attractions are free or so cheap, that you really don’t mind paying to go in. Spain in the winter is amazing and we can 100% appreciate why so many come for the winter. There are loads of options to park up free as well, we just chose to stay mainly on sites - but that’s personal choice, and if we were geared up for off grid, we would definitely go free park ups 👍😊

Hi Mark and Debs, I have no head for heights when it starts putting me near edges…away from the edge I can admire the view. Bridges are my worse nightmare as I know I am just suspended in the air, with no solid ground underneath 😱 It’s just not a nice fear to have, and wish I could overcome it 😂 It was slippery..the rock was like an ice rink 🤣

Great video folks. Were heading to Torrevieja on the 27th for new year, but flying as we only have a week. Where are you planning to be for new year?
We will be in Villajoyosa. But will be heading to Torrevieja soon after the 3 kings festival. Have an amazing time and hope the sun keeps shining for us all 👍☀️, but in the meantime have a fantastic Christmas 🎄🎅🏻

Ha Prime Real Estate , love it 😂😂😂. Electric bikes are a gift aren’t they. The big thing we find that stuns us when we get home is how congested it is after getting used to the Space. I do love tall ships. Lovely to follow your adventures best wishes Helen and Martin
We have been wanting to travel to Spain for ages, but much like Scotland, we have avoided coming previously. The length of time we were able to travel was so restricted due to working. But we can really feel the pull of why you both love it here, and we will definitely be returning many more times now 😍

Derren just said he was messaging you. Most of the pitches at that site Max won’t get on, we tried 4 pitches before the one they finally put us on. Very hard to get on as the access is tight and the trees that they use for providing shade, we couldn’t get under. So prebook a super XL pitch (there aren’t many and get snapped up) if you’re going to this one 👍😍 But on another note….we know where we are going for Christmas now 🤣🤣

I tell you what, it’s a horrible feeling being scared of heights…as you’ll know. I can’t be near the edge 😱, or a sheer drop 😱😱, and bridges…which you get a lot of in Europe, and flipping high ones…suspended in the air by concrete 😱😱😱

What a navigational challenge. This is the Babbling Sardine channel right? Your doing via ferrata? 😱 setting program + on that one 😂 loving the weather guys and the cheap hookups and living costs. These rail tracks have a lot to answer for, leaving lovely cycle trails the world over! Driving in Spain is a nightmare if you dont have a dentist. Yes the speed in towns drops to nothing, try getting up a mountain to a location! Looks like a lovey hot spot. Ibiza? 😂😂😂 nope not for us either. Love how at home you both are. So happy.18C sounds great right now when your paying silly money to heat the smallest room back in bleak blighty. Well done guys. Hope your crimbo site is a belter xx
Absolutely no way are we doing a via ferrata…that’s definitely a Gen X video for sure 🤣 We will stick to the beautiful cycle trails and stunning coastline, and fingers crossed no need for a dentist 😜😱 We are avoiding the mountains, not keen on getting Carole-Anne up there…plus the weather is a lot cooler, and we are soaking up the sun rays right now ☀️😎 It’s the best thing we did selling up, the bills were getting huge in Blighty, so we are definitely living a much cheaper lifestyle right now. We are moving on to our Christmas site today, so fingers crossed it’s a good one 😜👍😍

Hope your site is a well deserved amazing one! Needing a dentist? Gosh if I had a motor home id definitely pencil in an extended stay in Turkey to benefit from their superior and reasonable plentiful dentists! Mind you thats quite a trek from Spain and you would have to pass through some very chilly countries to get there! Soak up those well deserved rays, your both radiant. Definitely try the continent next year, you honestly won’t regret it. This is our 7th time across, and absolutely love the ease of it here. Derren even prefers the right side to drive, even with a right hand drive motorhome.

Hi Tracy, it’s such a wonderful experience and we are absolutely loving it here, your going to thoroughly enjoy this as well for sure. The pitch sizing we didn’t really consider until getting here, as it’s nothing like the UK sizing of the 6m rule. On the aires, if you leave a gap someone will park in between…which we have no issue with unless they are running a stinky diesel heater…that’s not a nice experience 🤣

Question from is is - Are you eating out / in or a combination of both? What’s the food / supermarkets like? And is it expensive compared to here?

We were going to cover that subject, but dodged it as it can vary so much. We heard lots say it’s expensive, but we aren’t finding that. Supermarkets we are finding cheaper than the U.K. but we are eating local fresh produce and not buying what we would traditionally buy in the U.K. except for proper baked beans…can’t compromise on those, and they are £1.20 a tin. We are eating in mostly, as a lot of restaurants have been closed in the smaller towns we have visited, but we did have an amazing kebab today each and it was £11 for the 2 so comparable.
Hope that tries to explain it, and we are compiling a full cost list to put together at the end of the trip 👌👍😍
