- An edit of all the John Milner scenes.
New Year's Eve 1964: John Milner is a drag-strip racer and falls in love with Eva, an attractive young woman from Iceland who speaks almost no English. Regardless, Milner does his best to communicate with her. He is briefly visited at the dragstrip by Steve, Laurie, Terry and Debbie, with Laurie pregnant and Terry in a military uniform, going to ship out to Vietnam the same night. Epilogue: Milner wins the final competition of the season on New Year's Eve 1964. Later that night, he is shown driving his trademark yellow deuce coupe down a long, hilly road with another vehicle's headlights coming the opposite direction. After disappearing over a small hill, neither Milner's taillights nor the approaching car's headlights are seen again, hinting that this may have been the crash in which Milner was killed.

Same🔥 those other dudes didnt have that bitchin Deuce Coupe
Yep. Definitely me too. Short lived career.
I suscribe🥹
One of the best fictional characters ever, John Milner.
This just brings back so many memories of going to Lions Drag Strip when I was a kid… I love the way they recreated that whole experience so faithfully, even including having Steve Evans announcing.
Holy crap we need to talk, haha. I used to play under the bleachers at Lions in the late 60s, probably into 70, when my dad was bracket racing a Yenko Camaro.
@@HouseofTaint - yes, I remember weekends spent watching the local amateurs and up and comings pros. Nothing beats drag racing in its early days.
Ties everything up…. Beautiful, sad, hopeful, and tragic….
This scene was filmed at Fremont, CA's former drag strip known as Baylands Raceway, probably around summer, 1978, as the opening aerial shot briefly shows the surrounding hills still have their distinctive summer brown color....
I just realized this scene was taken at the Fremont dragstrip which I torn up in my youth in my 77 bandit car. Yes sir😮🔥☝🏼
I loved this movie except them killing him off SO, I edited that final "Text Bubble" added Eva's photo and typed that they were married and lived happily ever after.
Beach Bend raceway, Bowling Green KY. Every weekend. Saw some really good races. I've never seen a dragster smoke the tires all the way down the track.
I ❤old slingshot dragsters.... bad ass
I adore this film. Never understood the hate it gets.
This sequel was written with passion as well I thought, but yeah compared to the classic from Francis Ford Coppola and Lucas’ story input it didn’t get the attention/noriety it deserves, still both are equally classic 👍💯
thanks for reuploading this classic!
love this movie. loved him in this. John Milner
Man I just recently found out they made a sequel of American graffiti. I hear bad things about it. But honestly it looks like a pretty fun movie. I really liked the characters of the first one. And there's nothing wrong with seeing more of the characters you love in different situations. The actors still do really good. This looks pretty cool.
I hate that ending and how it makes me cry I always felt bad at the end of the first one but with this one it’s even more. I mean imagine how she felt finding out he died
@@sk32nd14 exactly he was growing up! It took him a little while but he was.
And you are right this could have been his future wife.
They should have made the entire movie about John. It's definitely the only part people liked in More American Graffiti.
Still looks good.
Roger Beckwith had the best character arc...he was a jerk/rival to Milner at the beginning but by the end he was willing to help and support Milner beat the factory racer #ironsharpensiron
I forgot what a great movie this was. Thanks for the vid. I'm off to see if I can find the DVD online.
worth it! I recenly got the soundrack 2 lp set :)
Universal has blessed us with a blu-ray! 😊
What a great movie this was? Did it stop being a great movie?
The classic battle... elephant motor 426 hemi vs 350 mouse motor...
350 didn’t come out till 70, this was supposed to be 64.
@N-wordScissorhands *ahem* 2 things...
1. That is so CLEARLY a sbc which no matter the displacement would be a mouse motor or mighty mouse or mighty mo. And 2. I think you will find the 350 came out in the camaro in 1967 as the L48 platform. Hence why guys called it the "camaro engine"
The hunt brothers had a 392 Hemi not a 426
@@salty-9So for 1964, I’m guessing this would have been a 327 Chevy smallblock?
@Spooky1862 mopar guy lmao 🤣
Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day now.
Ok, extra credit if you can spot Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite anywhere in these clips!!
"Fast and Furious: The John Milner Story"
They should definitely make it
Thank you!
Enserio no vieron el ford wilis 41 gris dela película Hot Rod 1979
For some reason I really don't want to watch this movie because I feel it will ruin my impression of the original film
The original film ? This is number 2 - the original number 2 lol - i bet you mean the number 1 - its way better than this , you will actually like number 1 way better after youve seen this one - it suck big time
@@klauswillyhalvorsen1081 I'm not into the whole hippie scene though. The innocent nostalgia in the first one got me interested in it.
@@klauswillyhalvorsen1081yah this was very disappointing and somewhat pointless
@@redhattoons9357 I disagree, Terrys story and Johns made the movie, to actually find out what happened to them is so nice. That final scene of Milner driving into the valley is so chilling, In my opinion American Graffiti and More American Graffiti is George Lucas peak
@@samsnider2634 yah the part where milner drives into the valley was actually a nice part but that was pretty much it
It's not all the John Milner scenes. Ya left out the scene with Carol.
Hey Everyone, ima Big fan of American Graffiti, from the Dallas Tx Area. After watching this YT clip of the movie. Something came over me to Google Paul La Mat aka John Milner. And looks that he is ill At 79yrs old and is struggling a bit and has a Go Fund Me going for him.
I myself just donated and will check in time to time and donate more later.
Esse é o 2 ou full ??
in 66 the cammer was the king of the strip
It would have been so mutch better if they actually showed his death/crash instead of them just saying (he was hit bye a drunk driver)
The gonverment is why we lost all our racetracks requiring insurance ti run a race or enter a race was the dumbest idea since sliced bread
