The easiest way to solve this is to not force it on the Arkhamverse. There is no harm being its own standalone game

So this part I can kinda explain. More likely Waller was dead in this scene. But the part of Waller being 500 pounds lighter was because of Flashpoint that happened. So it became a new timeline and new Waller and new Suicide Squad. That's why there was a scene of Zoom trying to get the get out of hell free card so he can go to heaven.

We have yet to see ONE thing that’s actually in Arkham that’s in this one.

There are multiple versions of all characters in suicide squad, there are different dimensions in the game so you meet 3 different lex luthors and in a mission you see a cardboard cutout of arkham batman holding dead joker and the white version of deadshot as well as different versions of each member, you travel to different dimensions in this game. Thats why they say it takes place in the arkham universe, because you visit that dimension for a good chunk of the game

I didn't grow up or get as attached to the Arkham games as others did, so at first I didn't really care and thought people were overreacting. But after thinking about it more, I agree that using Arkham Batman is stupid because it completely undermines the accomplishments he made in Knight.
Again, Arkham universe is most likely a last minute tack on to boost sales because nothing lines up with the Arkham series.
I think that if the gameplay is good, it will probably still sell horribly, but then like five years after release, people will do a retrospect on how it's "Better than you remember". And the reasoning behind that is that by that point, the heat around the game will probably have settled down, and people will be more likely to approach it in an unbiased light. Same thing happened to Marvel's Avengers (or so I've heard. Don't quote me on that), that people keep on bringing up as proof of this game's immediately failure. But then again, Avengers did go the several updates and was borderline unplayable at first.

Quit trying to defend another live service third person looter shooter, if you enjoy it try it’s fine. However you can’t blame people for not liking the game when , killed off a beloved fan favorite (the literal face of the franchise), when the developer that innovated so much makes lazy schlock that blends in with everything else, not reading the room of an audience that is tired of live service games. If you have fun good. But that doesn’t change the fact the game just didn’t work for people at launch do to server issues even though there is a bot mode, and it doesn’t need to be online only! The explanation provided for the simultaneous existence of two different Deadshots is that the Deadshot that had been established in the previous Arkham games was the Deadshot from Earth-2, the same Earth that the Lex Luthor the Squad encountered once they travelled to Earth-2 and brought back to their Earth is from. The Deadshot of the main Arkhamverse had retired the Deadshot moniker after his daughter Zoe was born. As a result of the Earth-2 Deadshot continuing to work as a mercenary under the name Deadshot, which by technicality belongs to both of them, it brought a lot of heat down on the original Floyd. To clear his name from what he at the time thought to be just an impostor, as well as to keep his daughter safe from the consequences of the actions of the Earth-2 Deadshot, he took up the role of Deadshot again and after months, he eventually tracked down the other Deadshot. The Arkhamverse Deadshot and the Earth-2 Deadshot engaged in a massive shootout which resulted in quite a few civilian casualties. After a long fight, eventually both Deadshots had a clear shot on the other, and both pulled the trigger. The Earth-2 Deadshot was able to graze the head of the Arkhamverse Deadshot, but was ultimately off by a couple millimeters. The Arkhamverse Deadshot was more successful on the other hand, or at least so he thought. Shortly after the fight had ended, Green Lantern had arrived to arrest the instigators of the firefight. When the Arkhamverse Floyd was confronted by Green Lantern, he had to explain that he was the actual Deadshot, but Lantern only cared about the damge he caused and the lives he took, and so he arrested him regardless. Curiously enough, it was never stated if the body of the Earth-2 Deadshot was ever found.

In the Argus tapes in the game, deadshot mentions how the white version of him thought and acted exactly like him, and essentially was him. He ends up coming to the conclusion that he must of been from a different earth, and was one of his variants

The multiverse side is a nice concept but both of them having a daughter in the same universe is a bit off. And if they both were active at the same time it makes no sense why they were both alive at the same time. Because they would likely have both marked each other. Don't get me wrong I would love the multiverse thing being the real explanation. However with what they have already done token change is a token change. Sadly.

I haven’t played the Arkham games yet but it’s strange they put so much effort into explaining this. I’m surprised they didn’t just say timeline or multiverse shenanigans or just not mention the change at all
Highly recommend all of them. Fun combat, interesting maps, and great story. And much better open world than what I’ve seen in the Suicide Squad beta

I blame the changes on Warner Bros, once that got James Gunn as dc ceo they said clear as day that they wanted the characters played by the movie actors no matter what medium, they did make a point saying it wouldn't be the case for the arkhamverse but I'm guessing the changes that were made were still down to there meddling.
The real reason is they probably originally didn't plan on making this apart of the Arkhamverse and some higher up exec probably forced them to so they could market it as such

@@Daud-ix4tm I would consider myself a fan of original Arkham games. I think many people have the problem with the game being a part of deeply loved universe when the game just pushes you into a completely different story with many inconsistencies from earlier games and even movie.
If the game was disconnected from Arkhamverse the hate wouldn't be as big as there would be much lesser attachment to Batman for instance.

He is in fact the true and original Floyd Lawton of the Arkham universe. The explanation provided for the simultaneous existence of two different Deadshots is that the Deadshot that had been established in the previous Arkham games was the Deadshot from Earth-2, the same Earth that the Lex Luthor the Squad encountered once they travelled to Earth-2 and brought back to their Earth is from. The Deadshot of the main Arkhamverse had retired the Deadshot moniker after his daughter Zoe was born. As a result of the Earth-2 Deadshot continuing to work as a mercenary under the name Deadshot, which by technicality belongs to both of them, it brought a lot of heat down on the original Floyd. To clear his name from what he at the time thought to be just an impostor, as well as to keep his daughter safe from the consequences of the actions of the Earth-2 Deadshot, he took up the role of Deadshot again and after months, he eventually tracked down the other Deadshot.
