THANK YOU for showing the output outdoors in the pitch black night. Ive noticed a lot of people doing light reviews without showing the output, and to myself and im sure other people too the output is one of if not THE most important feature of a light whether it be a weapon light, a big emergency flashlight or even a pocket sized pen light.
@@LiquidRetro I did, I had to look up a review because the one I played with a gun shop was 1. Very dim and 2. Only momentary with no instructions telling whether it can be turned on and left on. Speaking of which, you may have mentioned it but just to confirm can the light be turned on and left on without holding down the switch? Main use for my weapon light will be hog hunting and coyote hunting, so I need a light thats bright and doesn't require a finger to stay occupied when its in use
I have the PL 2 Valkyrie on my AR pistol home defense gun and since OLight had such a great deal on there Black Friday sale I picked up the PL Valkyrie PRO and it's replacing the PL 2 on my pistol. Both are great lights.
Late to the party. Just got the PL Pro Valkyrie. It says in the book,et that low mode is 300 lumens. Not the 600 you state here. It does go from 1500 to 600 lumens in high mode after about a minute and a half to extend the rechargeable battery life. But even at 300 lumens in low mode, it still has a very good throw and hot spot. I don’t see why so many people complain about the more natural tint of the Pro. It actually shows what you are aiming at with more detail. The whiter color temp of the PL2 can tend to wash out the subject. And you will appreciate the more natural color when using it indoors sweeping and clearing a structure. Easier on your own eyes. Less visual fatigue.
Prefer the PL-2 over the PL-Pro only because of the quick batteries replacement instead of waiting for the battery to get re-charged. Will be nice if Oligth sell replacement battery pack for the PL-Pro just to have as a back-up.
I have both the PL-PRO and the PL-2. I like the PL-PRO better, EXCEPT for the actual LED. The PL-PRO LED has a slight yellow tint to it, whereas the PL-2 has a more truer white LED (as described in the vid). For this reason, the edge goes to the PL-2 for me.
nice ligth... what do you think of overall reliabilty. HOW MANY ROUNDS THRU IT? How is under hard recoil? ive read many posts, that ligth fails when shooting 10mm.
I think your thinking of the original Olight PL1 and maybe PL-2 that initially had some issues with recoil. They fixed those on the later PL-2 I know. As far as the PL-Pro I have about 300-400 rounds through it at this point, some 9mm, some 40 S&W and some 5.56. Don't currently have a 10mm to test with.

Appreciate it, I hope you found it useful

Ya it should work like how you need
@@LiquidRetro awesome, have you done a review on the TLR1 HL? Its between the olight and that.
No I haven't. I borrowed a friend's older TLR1, and it's in one of my first olight weapon light videos. I like their toggle system alot.

Going to get one maybe two to use on my drone as spotlights

Great vid. The pressure switch cable should be rounded not flat. A flat cable is harder to manage and secure on the rail.
I have the pro on my cz p10 c fit works great
The person next door is like wtf
If you click both it has strobe
I want a weapon light that has the ability to make a subject poop themselves and or Throw up. That would be Impressive!

I just got my PL-3R today and it does not have those “HALF CIRCLES” maybe it was changed in these later versions? I got S/N 01220****
Great job!
Thanks!
Does this light have the same profile as any other lights? Bc I cannot find a holster that will fit it for a glock 19
No its similar but wider. I think I have pics in the review with other olights I had at the time. Holster support has been an issue
Try Odin holsters
I returned a PL Pro due to the green ugly tint. It is very green off a white wall.
You’re in Canada right? I wonder if they have different versions of it. Mine says low mode is 300 lumens and lockout is only 100 lumens
No, USA. I'll have to double check the manual again now. I pulled lumens off the website

@@LiquidRetro Thanks...
Does it have a memory feature for light intensity?
Yes what it’s on when you turn it off that’s where it’s at when you turn it back on 👍🏻
Lol what ! This light is 1500 lumens for 90
Seconds and then it drops to 600 ??? This is a 600 lumen light then.
That's not how the FL1 standard is measured, which is what's used for flashlights officially
In a self defense situation you should be able to do what you need to do in 90 seconds. Also 1500 lumens is way too bright in your house.
When I plug up my plight pl pro valkyrie the charging light flashes red rapidly. Wasn't doing that couple of weeks ago. Is something wrong with it?
Sounds like it is, I would Clean the contacts and if it's still doing it, contact olight support
I want this light but I can't seem to find a holster to accommodate this set up. On a fn 509 tactical
May have to get something custom made
@@LiquidRetro Found one that does, Odin Holster 👍🏼
does the pressure swith work with the olight PL mini-2
switch
If your in Canada, isn’t it difficult to get a gun?
I don't live there
Does it strobe
Yes, it does, press both buttons on the light and the strobe will be activated.
Can I put it on a 20 mm rail
I haven't tested how close that is to 1913 spec.
@@LiquidRetro ok
