Actually she is stronger then the male lead in many other ways. First she is cunning and knows haw to use each person for accomplishing all her goals. The only person that is on par with her intelligence is the villian emperor. He is one of a hellish man and is very cunning, ruthless, cold, calculating and knows how to use each person. The only difference between the female lead and the villian is that despite using people she has moral values and kindness.
Yuan Ling may hate his father/uncle but still, he did grow under him after all. Even just a little bit, he still love him. Yuan Ling is even a better son than that Yuan Zhan who asked his own father to die.
I can't help but laugh whenever a person just go running and bang their heads onto something and is dead without any effort. I've seen this in many Cdramas 😂😂😂 like y do u even need poisons and weapons... just bang the heads and all's good😂😂
Because evil does his assignment well. Just like during the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus upon His death all the devils were thrown back to Hell and they felt vanquished. They didn't know what hit them and were in chaos. Later they regrouped and made arrangements on how to seduce the world again. They never stop their ways to capture humanity. Relentless in their endeavor. That's why St. Peter or St. Paul reminds us always to be alert because they are cunning. They can change their appearance as angel of light.

I really admire their love ❤ . Many people choose to stay far away from each other in order to keep their love safe ,even they suffer more for not being together . But here they choose to stay with each other , accompany each other and face all difficulties together 👌🏻🤗 . I like this , they are ready to face every calamities together the didn't give pain each other by thinking about future problems , they never think to be separated but they wants to stay with their love .
Even they met the tragedy I love how they stand for their love 💕 bravely facing all the circumstances and difficulties together for example the magical maze trial not like other dramas full of melodrama, not able to face the difficulties together having lots of regret. Even they met tragedy atleast they don't have any regret because they have spend beautiful memories together even if they are short and not so memorable. I love this kind of drama it's really well paced. Some of you will say that it is really fast paced romance but actually it was love at first sight so they didn't think about any thing and decided to be together.

Although I admire their love it’s a selfish move from the Emperor. Sometimes when you love someone you just have to let them go for the greater good especially when you are in a leadership position and so many lives are dependent on your decisions. I reckon that the only person who is about to suffer the most is Qing Chen because anything bad that happens from here on will be blamed on her. I hope that I am wrong.

I don't understand the logic of the elder. I mean, the previous emperor killed his own brother to take the throne, he even took his wife by force and keep on trying to kill Yuan Ling. That the biggest definition of immoral and also he disregarded a lot of Ancestral codes and laws. But Yuan Ling only want to fight for the woman that he loves while also leading & protecting his people and yet he is immoral?

The dreams were induced by his own son (which I’m still confused about, goodness why do emperors have so many kids?) I feel like they shouldn't have got married in the first place knowing the outcome that awaits them. Love is humans weakness but at times there are more imp things your love requires sacrifices for.
Or maybe love is what will make everything worth while and helps people walk right if it's with a good person. Being an emperor is a lonely life when you've already felt unloved before, add in a selfish wife with hidden tricks behind your back to help her father to keep you the emperor under their tight grip or poisoning you to a slow death so that her son quickly ascends. They're also people whom everyone expects to sacrifice all their life's happiness to make everyone else happy. Many emperors could probably chose a woman they liked but they want the power that a girl can bring from her powerful family, so they give into the forced alliances. If the woman has accepted then I don't see why they should hold up.
