Hi! I’m new to Sketchfab and I have no idea what it is and how to use it. How do u make the model? My friend recommended it to me and it seems really fun and interesting! I currently don’t have a drawing tablet or laptop or my own computer but I do have my iPad, would I be able to draw and edit on there? I really want to learn how to do this! Is there any other tutorial videos or any other apps I can use to help me? Please reply, I really need the help! Thank you. 💕
Awesome sculpts and thanks for the tuts man. 2 questions if you will, do you sketch out your ideas/sculpts on paper before modeling them? Also what type of maps do you need to use to get some serious glowing emission textures on your meshes? (e.g. I have a model with electric that I want to upload onto sketchfab but I'm not using my own textures, I'm using their built-in PBR and I ramped the emission texture they have up to max but it doesn't glow as much as I've seen on some other peoples models.) Thanks again.
Your're welcome! :D I sometimes do some sketches but usually I just go straight into sculpting :) If you want to get a nice glow effect you will have to go to the post-processing options. There you can add things like vignette, depth of field, bloom (glow) and color corrections.
Hey, I just published one of my first models, would you mind giving it a view and let me know what you think about it/how perhaps it could be improved. (I did not UV unwrap or paint any textures, I wanted to but simply don't have time so I used Sketchfab's built-in PBR materials, also I've only been using blender now off and on for about 5 months). The link: skfb.ly/6APzE Thanks in advance, and thanks for the awesome tutorials!
Nice. I really like the little cockpit room. Makes you want to explore more which is a great thing in Sketchfab. The center point that you rotate around is a bit off though and I would choose a different default angle. Something more from below to show that he's flying and gigantic. Making the environment darker and more night-like would also help highlight the eyes, glowing parts and the cockpit (Potentually also the smoke if there's a lightsource for the flames). Owls are night nocturnal after all ;) For a night setup the model needs to be a bit brighter lit though and/or less glossy. Add a rim light as well maybe from a moon in the sky or just like that.
Do you publish detailed tutorial video? I don't understand what you posted on the blender's official site because it has no subtitles, and I'm a stranger. I have to watch translation
- I think you should say why you clicked the Keep vertex order, though. I mean I can guess but some people might be confused or miss it altogether. - Where is part 2 dou q-q
To be honest ... that was just a habit of mine :D For sketchfab it doesn't matter if if it's on or off but every time I exported something to another software for texturing or rigging etc it's super important that the vertex order stays the same. I'll keep an eye out for moments like these next time. I'll post part two tomorrow ;) And thx for the feedback!
youre amazing! this is an other level tutorial!
Following the sculptJanuary, I discover than Fbx files are most smaller than Obj. for 350 k faces, obj = 35 mo. fbx = 17 mo
That's interesting! I need to test that out myself :D
Thanks a lot for the tip!

Got it, thanks!

Julien Kaspar Great points, thanks for taking the time to view it and give me some constructive criticism, really appreciate it.

Except the auto-translated subtitles here on UA-cam there is no translation, sorry.

Yeah I figured it might be something like that. I learned about vertex order the hard way when I lost UV mapping going between software u _u
Yeah I think most of us learn it the hard way :/
link to the boolean add-on you used to combine all objects into one mesh???
The addon is called "Speedsculpt" :P

Julien Kaspar thanks very much!
hey i want to know how to export animated model like raptoid for free on iclone?
can u help please reply
No idea, sorry. I never worked with iclone :/
Do you know how to export an xgen fur model into sketchfab?
Unfortunately, as far as I know, that's not something you can do in Sketchfab or even any WebGL based render engine.
I searched on Google how to upload skins into vrchat and this came up so can someone tell me how to download into vr chat
