    I love the gym, but can't go constantly. So pilates and yoga are my at home program.

    I have a friend who is very dedicated to doing Pilates. Her physique is long, lean and elegant. She attributes that to Pilates. Thanks!

    According to this video you only can be a Pilates’ instructor if you was certified by a certain group after hundreds of hours. Actually Pilates evolved in several different ways, similar to Yoga (by the way, Pilates took several exercises from other systems known in this time, including Yoga). Different people have different views about how Pilates has to be practiced. There not “only one” or “best” Pilates. The best instructor is the one who you like.

      I saw female K-Pop idols do it and they all look fantastic and the exercises look interesting! When I looked it up what really made me want to try is the thought behind Pilates :) partially to speed up rehabilitiation because my back has been hurting ;-; and my posture is bad.

    What is the best recommendation for a teenager Pilates or working out in the gym?

    • @pilatesavatar9123
      @pilatesavatar9123  2 роки тому +10

      A good Pilates Mat class is fantastic for teenagers for many reasons including Strength, fitness, flexibility, not to mention posture, self-confidence and self-care without
      The complication of competition. That said, there are a lot of benefits to working out in the gym as well. So it’s not an either or, however I’m inclined to see Pilates as a foundation for everything else.

    How old should one be to be considered ‘old enough’ to become a pilates instructor ?

      Our youngest teacher was 17 when she graduated from her comprehensive teacher training course. If a person has been taking pilates and has a strong body and mind, then there is not an official “age”

      Think of your Pilates routine as a full body tune up to prepare you for your sport. For example I do my matwork before I ski, or cycle. It gets me aligned right and o bring it into EVERY other activity. As a result, my performance is smooth, injury free and my body moves better.

    Are pilates a form of physical fitness?

  • @martintanjung5540
    @martintanjung5540 11 місяців тому

    No, every weight lifting, wether using your body or equipments, form and quality is king... Your video just a pure marketing your sport while neglecting the similar benefits (or better) from other sports...

      Yoga is different than weight training. That doesn’t mean that there’s no physical benefit to it.
