Thanks for a very helpful video. I get confused around the 30 minute mark where you bring in new wires and cut/splice/connect new wires in. Is this necessary or did you redirect the hot so the winch can only be used when the vehicle is on?
Great question! On the warn wiring harness the switch hot would normally go to switch power, or directly to the battery for constant power. I only want to do winch to operate under switch power using the bus far. So the large wires go directly to the battery for the load. And the busbar power is only being used to activate, on off,. So the winch will only work with a key on. We had to use an accessory busbar connection as So I could utilize the factory bus bar. Hope that answers your question if not feel free to reach out. According to Polaris the bus bar is rated at 10 amps. The warn 45 - S Is 26amps without load. And significantly higher with load. The Best Buy really takes place of the relays and his great for lights and small accessories. However for the winch it is recommend her to go straight to the battery. Thanks for joining us on our venture! When we purchased the machine we ordered the Polaris winch. This kept on getting pushed back on back order several months. I have used warn winches previously on jeeps and trailers and very happy with them so we decided to cancel the order and go with the warn winch. We went with the warn wiring harness that comes with it it is very simple and works amazing. Very happy with the choice we made. Make sure you like and subscribe. Next time you take the center console out just fold the boots on the seat belts and shifter down thru there holes and you can remove the console. Take it off occasionally, allot of crap builds up around prop shaft.

Do you experience any sort of electromagnetic interference (emi) with the service loop you made and placed over the Rockford Fosgate amplifier? I tried to route cabling a good distance around it, without knowing if it actually helped or not. Thank you.

maybe I missed it, but why did you go with a 3rd party winch instead of Polaris'? also did you use a Polaris wiring harness and Polaris winch mount?
