Add clip arts or pictures to the words that you adding in English/Spanish. In my personal experience when I was learning English it was easier for me to let the word in English if I had a picture. Sometimes we don’t even hear those words in Spanish so a picture helps.
I am glad to hear that you are adapting your classroom to your students' needs. My third grade teacher would be proud of you for focusing on what went well during the day. Have you thought of the Pick Up Sticks game to go with your poem that you taught your students? Rather than write "Promesas de la clase", it is better to write "Promesas del salón". Clase is actually a false cognate. You could also say "Tenemos seguridad" rather than "Estamos a salvo". By the way, kids can act a bit goofy during a full moon, and that is probably what happened during the last harvest moon. Thanks again for your presentation and best of luck to you.
I’m student teaching right now in Kindergarten and every time I watch your blogs I say I want to work for a school like yours. Having built in play time and fun Fridays don’t happen at my school. :(
+haileykatelynn Miss Hailey , If I could go back to My School Days when I was an autistic SPED student and could rewrite my history and could have had you as one of My Teachers a calm down corner would have helped me a bit because I would have hyper episodes occasionally . So here is another vote for the calm down corner for you . Plus , find out what brings the child positivity ( regardless if it is outside of school or the educational field ) in their moments of negativity and use what those things that bring them positivity to bring them out of negativity and win them over to you with positivity because if there is or was anything that could help make My School Days better it is someone at the school that spoke with me on what I enjoyed in life at the time and it may take them longer to grasp certain things and if it does then stay patient and work with them for as long as it takes with patience , understanding , and endurance . I hope that this helps and keep smiling and looking as beautiful as you do . I wish you the best this school year and your continued journey in this life as a teacher . - Dwight
What does it mean when you said contracted? Do you not get paid until that time or when you click in your shift starts? Or when you stay after your contracted time is there a pay difference.
No, not fluently. I took three years so I have some very basic Spanish. It is easier for me to pick up on what other people are saying, than speaking it myself. If that makes sense!
I would love to see a meal prep video from a fellow teacher!
Yay! Will do :)
Great idea on the calm down corner!! 😊
Thank you! :)
I feel like I, as a teacher, would want to hang out in the calm corner all day! Lol
I have to say that your translation for all three are awesome!
Your classroom is BIG omg. Good work of being a teacher. KEEP GOING!
Thank you! Will do!

Yes, I don't know how I would survive without the play time! But "Fun Fridays" is not something all teachers do, I just wanted to!

So do you already speak Spanish?
