I hope that your observation went well. You have been creating a very safe, warm, and welcoming environment in your classroom. Thanks for your presentation.
I have been watching your videos since you started your classroom set up vlogs! I just found out that I’m going to be student teaching in a kindergarten classroom. I appreciate your channel and content because I have no experience with kindergarten. Watching your videos will help me a lot more knowing that I’m in a kindergarten classroom.
I’m not even a teacher (but I did want to be one when I was younger) but I’m addicted to your videos! I love seeing your passion and dedication and it’s so fun to see what you do each week 🥰
The shake out is a west coast thing, I think. It’s the 30th anniversary of the Loma prieta earthquake. It happened in the Bay Area, so it’s a big deal out here. It happened October 17,1989, that’s why we do the drill at 10:17. I didn’t do anything free the drill either, they were so antsy I read a few books, and turned a quick video and let them color. It was a minimum day too
I really liked this style of video!! Also, we did the earthquake drill the 17th at 10:17am too in North Carolina! It wasn’t long like yours though. We just went under the tables/desks in the classroom and did that whole thing, and after about a minute, they announced it was over. It was still long enough to get them off track for a while though! Fun times, hahaha.
The students choose! We use magnets that have the students names on them and they place them under the picture of the place they want to go. I just say only 4 kids may go to each place to limit the noise and stuff!
Thanks for sharing! I teach 1st grade in AZ and do/use a lot of the same centers and activities too. Just curious...does your school have a set curriculum for reading and math?
+haileykatelynn Mrs. Hailey, I could not help but to notice your little scoreboard kind of thing ( Mrs. Backholm's marks and Students' marks ) Are you doing a teacher vs. students thing there ? Just thought I'd ask . - Dwight
I'd love to see your morning commute playlist, if you could post it!
Okay:)

Julia Roberts I’m from Maryland. What made that incident so unique/special? Was there an accident with students or something?
@@taylordavis627 large earthquakes don't happen often. We have small ones, but not huge ones.
Oh! I had no idea, thank you!
Yes it’s definitely a west coast thing! We participate here on the west coast of Canada!!

Hello! I will be completing my student teaching in a few semesters! Why did you choose to write “famile” instead of family? Love your channel!!!
She spelt i t like that as that's how the kids think it's spelt and there working on sounding out. I think

Hi
Hi!
+haileykatelynn
Mrs. Hailey,
I could not help but to notice your little scoreboard kind of thing ( Mrs. Backholm's marks and Students' marks )
Are you doing a teacher vs. students thing there ?
Just thought I'd ask .
- Dwight
Does your school use Tools of the Mind?
No, I’ve never heard of that!
@@haileykatelynn It's based on Vygotsky I believe and is where the drawing the plan of your play comes from! So interesting!
How are the kids who didn’t speak much English at the beginning of the year doing now?
They are doing so good :)
Thank you for asking!
I have one ELL and she has not learned any letters. No support either in school. Besides me.😍 how do you teach letters?
1st

*Hailey makes my sis happy* (cringy comment)
