  • This video shows the steps involved in preparing my Honwave T32-IE, Yamaha 6HP outboard motor and Sunway Inflatable Boat Trailer (model number - SW265PN12) following a trip out on the water. I have made this video to show the steps involved and the time it takes as this may be useful to others thinking of doing something similar.
    This is part 4 of a 4 part series detailing the work involved before and after a trip out on the water. The links to the other videos are below:

I have a Honwave 35 with a Suzuki 15 hp bought 2 months ago, flies on the water but is bloody hard to pull on the Beach or Stones with the Trolley wheels if I am alone, was thinking of making or buying a trolley for the Engines[ 3.3 evinrude as spare plus 15 hp main ] but just saw your vid on outboard trolley test so going to watch number 5 video of yours , thanks for your efforts on filming n posting .

    This brings back memories Christopher (I used to have a rib) I have been working my way through your videos and I am enjoying them. I know you get a lot of gear questions but what make was that telescopic rod I saw in the boot? Also a set of outboard muffs would save you filling the wheelie bin with water. It's hard to buy everything though, eh?

    Can I ask where you got your trailer, what kind is it, and what did it cost?
    I am looking for this trailer for my Honwave T38ie

      Just take a usual trailor for ribs man and move the rollers accordingly especially those back to support the engine. Move them exactly under the transom to support the engine. And use tie down straps to prevent the outboard and the sib from moving around. Sib, outboard and trailor must be one mass.

    If the boat was empty and the engine off would you be able to lift the boat for a short distance if it was on its side? Im thinking of whether it would be possible to carry it on its side alone through a gate and down the side of a house? cheers

    What would be the most wind you would head out in and do you only head out on certain tides like the kayak fishing guys do? Thanks mate. Your advice is appreciated.

    Just a quick question Chris, you spare engine what is it? You seam to throw it around a lot in all your videos like it’s a house brush . How light is it ? Many thanks Ray K YNWA.

    Great vid thanks mate. What would you say the recommended hp for inflatable boats like yours is for uk offshore? I want something that tide pull and currents wouldn't be an issue when it comes to getting out of a dangerous situation.

    • @mathewwebb522
      @mathewwebb522 4 роки тому

      Thanks Chris. I would want to go as small as possible motor wise because I want to trolley the motor and boat from my estate car down onto the beach then inflate it. Do you think the 8mph is an unsafe max speed or is that still enough to fight against around the 10 wind you mentioned?

    • @mathewwebb522
      @mathewwebb522 4 роки тому

      Ok thanks for that info Chris. I was really hoping to get away with a 6hp and a 3.8 to 3.5 air deck being costs are adding up. Would it be safe to say that the six hp even though not fast with 2 moderate weight adults would be enough to move against a wind against tide situation well enough to get back to shore safely? Obviously not talking about purposely going out in bad weather but even the weatherman gets it wrong from time to time.
