written pattern:
ch 6, block off and chain an additional 3 and insert a dc into the 6th ch you were blocking off
make a total of 6 rows just 7 dc
(Front of bikini)
when you finish up the last row beginning your new row you’re going to increase for 13 rows
cut off and fasten your ends
(Back of bikini)
reattach at the crotch area, and begin increase from there out, i did a total of 21 rows increasing
the front and back of the bikini feel free to do it upon how your sizing is, that will determine how much you need to increase.
(the edging)
ch one from the back side and turn work to the side and insert two sc into each dc stitch, when you hit the corner ch 3 and continue your work
when you reach the end cut and fasten
MAKE SURE YOU WEAVE IN ALL YOUR ENDS.
(the strings)
ch 100 and just pull them through the hole to attach them.

I've noticed your videos I've watched thus far are mostly such simple/ basic crocheting, but the end result still looks so great -- that is a gift, and shows a lot of creativity.
What I also LOVE about every vid of yours I've seen, is that your patterns are so versatile. It's frustrating when you watch a tutorial and they say "chain this many," and the end result doesn't FIT your body!, but thus far all of your videos are 100% made to be able to fit any body type, and for the most part are also versatile if I want to add some little changes here and there. Oh my goodness...thank you for this... I’ve made a bikini top and the original poster didn’t have a tutorial for a bottom. The other tutorial I tried to follow was great until I got to the back part and had to increase, for some reason the sides kept curling down no matter what I did. This video was so clear in its instruction and definitely is much better then the last one I tried to follow. Thank you so much.

Naomi Marie it did the only thing is for the yarn I’m using the double crochet was stretching to much so I did change it to a half double crochet stitch.

I'm still not sure about something say my hips are 35" and my waist 26" when completed should it measure that amount in total? Bcuz mine measures 11 1/2" in the back and 9" in the front which is total 20 1/2" and it fits perfect. I'm asking in case I want to make for someone else based on different measurements. Hope my question isn't confusing 🤦

When chaining 3. To increase. Are you putting 2 double crochet in the first stitch plus the chain 3. So it’s 3 In total in the first stitch?

Hi! I love your tutorials and this one my favorite because it such a simple pattern and the results are amazing. I have one question, how can you make your bottoms more fitting? Should I use a small hook because i use a 5mm hook because that’s what i have on hand
Yes sweetie if you change your hook size it will change the size of your project. So going down in hook size will make it smaller or vice versa. Hope this helps. Love,Peace,&Crochet 🌞

if i’m making this for someone else, would you recommend doubling the amount of increases from the front for the back ? (ex: i made 16 rows in the front so would i do 32 in the back?)

Naomi I was using a DJ weight yarn and a size 3mm hook. What is the measurement in inches across the top and back of bikini . I love this pattern and the orange color.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but do you have tips how to get the double crochet stitches close together? Like should I be pulling the yarn in my left hand tighter(as a righty) while going to loop through those first two loops? Or should I be pulling all three loops to the same level before doing that step? Or maybe doing the complete opposite and going through the first two loops immediately without levelling all three. Sorry lol I hope I make sense, but I'm trying to make these bottoms but whenever I try it's very hole-y and you can see through the stitches, and I don't feel comfy with that! Please please help.
Rachel Angelique no question is a dumb question love. Try going down size hooks. That’s best when trying to make the hoes smaller.

Totally awesome video very simple as you said, I had to use your tutorial because the one that went with the bikini top I made was just too complicated, so I found yours and it's perfect however I'm using a smaller size yarn so would I increase the stitch count in the beginning, because when I got to the 13th row, I went to put it in front of me and realize my toe ain't fitting in that LOL? Hey I love your work
If you want to increase and cover up more booty. You can extend/inc rows faster with this;
(pardon me, I can't remember the proper terms)
At the end of a row you chain 3 or more chains, depending on the st (3 chains for 2SC, 4 chains for 3SC/ 4chains for 2DC, 5 chains for 3DC etc.) you're using and continue on that chain as you would a foundation chain and on to the proper body of your crochet piece.
The other end is tricky.
It requires you attaching yarn to that end and chaining the number of chains to match the number of stitches at the opposite end (i.e 4 chains gave 2DC at opp end = 2 chains) + 2 extra chains.
The 2 extra chains is for fastening off.
P.S. I've been awake all night. :')
