    Lupu has always been a dedicated interpreter of Enescu's works, which he plays with all the passion and sincerity they deserve. I don't think I am in the wrong by calling Lupu an authority on Enescu's music.

    Superb. Enescu’s three violin sonatas are a magnificent contribution to the repertoire. It is bizarre that they are so infrequently performed, with the exception being occasional performances of the third Sonata.
