    Sometimes I find that listening to pain and inflammation videos are so helpful even when I feel fine. Unfortunately, so often all my stress likes to find a home in my right hip where it festers. But a good night's sleep can speed up the healing process. Of course sleeping is all the more difficult when pain moves in, but hopefully this video can offer some help with that. The image is from a random walk I took from the Portland, ME airport to a lovely yoga studio and always gives me a sense of wonder when beauty can just pop up around the corner, completely unexpected.

      Michelle's Sanctuary: Hypnosis & Meditation Thanks Michelle. Might I suggest trying a Pelvic Health Physio, if you can't figure out how to shift that hip problem. I'm astounded at the therapy I've received for chronic, vicious bladder/pelvic pain, which included major shift in the entire pelvic girdle muscle system, including deep hip stuff. Thank you for your lovely, lovely channel. Beautiful work.

      Thank you, Carol! I will definitely look into this. It's such a complex system that does not release tension easily! I appreciate your kind words and advice!

      I have issues with my right hip as well. I have a shorter right leg so the hip joint and muscles etc have more work to do than my left. I will be praying for you Michelle.

      Yep, meditation has helped me for 13 years come Thursday 9th June. Love your meditation videos and if there's pain in the header, I've definitely listened to it over the years so Thank You Michelle for ALL You do 🙏 It's so much appreciated. Quick edit. Minesvin my spne and my hips but just turning 50, I got all the itis's lol, arthritis, bursitis and tendinitis. They're like naughty triplets when the Rain or the Extreme cold comes down here in the South East. Surgeries, well more surgeries on the Horizon so Hopefully it all works out but I'm a realist, Anyway Lots of Love and Light from Me Down Under here in Australia Beautiful as Always ❤️🙌♈️

    I have been having severe hip pain at night, from arthritis but a change in sleeping position and listening to this actually erased the pain over 2 hrs last night (I fell asleep). I have used it before for other reasons, just because I am older and have various aches and cannot take pain meds. WOW, it is amazing. I have had a lot of medical training and specific training in relaxation and the mind-body connection and can see first hand now how such meditations work!

      First, I am so sorry you’re dealing with this pain. I’ve struggled with hip pain at times and it can be so disruptive for sleep. I’m so grateful this helped you! The mind-body connection is truly a powerful thing. 💜

    Love this one.... Just what the Dr ordered too... I've come off all pain meds in the hope that I can rewire brain... Neuroplasticity... Or something like that... So I have listened to pretty much 100% of your videos... Every night now for months. To relax... To focus on positivity and to get cosy and now release pain.. I hope you have loads more videos to come,!!!!! I love the cosy cottage ones... Where I am. Getting into snuggly clothes.. And relaxing into sofa or bed... And any pain ones would be good too. My pain consultant seems to now think mindfulness is the key... (I'm In UK) anyway love them all well done.. Sue

    • @larrymarcus3176
      @larrymarcus3176 2 роки тому +3

      Neuroplasticity is about how our brains can form new neurological pathways that sends signals through a different pathway to accomplish the same effect. It’s primarily seen in young developing brains and when a person has damage to their brain like a meningococcal infection or mild concussion. Pain management is a different ball game. The idea is to change the effect of pain pathways that have become habituated. Like a phantom pain when someone looses a leg or arm. It’s sort of like ones yin and Yang gets confused. Fibromyalgia can have this effect where there is no evidence of observable inflammation but severe pain exists. It’s pretty theoretical which is why mindfulness or acupuncture or myofacial trigger point therapy can help. Pain meds either block pain receptors in the brain like narcotics or Bloch the creation of cytokines like nsaids. If you use them frequently you get reduced effect and need more or you can get rebound effect where you have more pain when they wear off. Not knowing wesr your pain is or what it’s cause is trying all kinds of alternatives including this meditation can help as can heat or cold alternating. Using topical stuff including arnica or menthol which can fake out pain signals. Wheatgrass balm is good too as is r we epson salt soaks magnesium relaxes nerves including if you use it orally but check with doctor first skin absorption is not toxic but oral may not be good for you including what salt form you use. If this meditation helps try it while getting a soft massage. I find Marx brothers movies or anything that makes me laugh certainly makes pain less painful.
      Some people love cbd oil but I’m not a fan of cannibis. There are tons of drugs that can help that are not directly pain meds but all have side effects. You can ask your pain doc about them they include tca antidepressants gabapentin and a bunch of others. Hope you find some relief.

    • @dotcassilles1488
      @dotcassilles1488 6 місяців тому +2

      @larrymarcus....
      Thankyou for listing off different alternatives.
      My doctor suspects that I have hypermobility or Ehlers Danlos syndrome as most of my joints bend more than they should. EDS can impact every area of the body as it affects the collagen.
      I'm already diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, TMJD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, bursitis, leg length difference, and a few other chronic health challenges.
      My doctor and I are working together and suspect I also have crohn's disease (tummy problems and chronic nausea) and possibly adhd.
      I need all help I can get to reduce pain and inflammation, to find comfort and help me get stuff done.
      Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot

    This meditation is so important and effective. I think it's another one that would benefit from a new recording with the techniques you have perfected over the years. It is very helpful and, though I missed the 'it's time to dream away' I love the sweet way you said goodnight here. 😊

      I'm so glad it still works but I hate that you are dealing with pain. I hope you are feeling better. I've been dealing with pain recently and during a gentle yoga practice was reminded it's part of life, but how we approach it means everything.

  • @dotcassilles1488

    I still return to listen to this powerful meditation often. It helps so much with chronic pain in my right hip and also helps me to relax when I'm experiencing tension and pain of a flare-up in TMJ or TMD pain (my jaw and facial nerves were damaged in 1999).
    The slow release of tension, relaxation of my entire body and the way my repetitive thoughts slow and let go is such a relief.
    Blessings, Dot

      Hmm. But of course.
      My AM drive is rather easy at 72-82-min., however, the drive home at 4PM is usually 90-140-min. (a triggering experience).
      I sadly can’t make my local yoga classes as did last year, and think I need late PM classes nearer to work (maybe to include a gym/swimming pool?). I def need a reset RIGHT after work, and perhaps the drive will be easier/faster between 6:30-7:30 PM, and I’d be better balance whilst driving.

    Okay I just have to ask... Were you referring to Icyhot/BioFreeze when you were talking about a tealish-blue gel that had a mentholated cooling effect? Because that's all I could think of.
    Not trying to be rude but I couldn't finish this one because I kept thinking "Hmmm... If she's having me imagining biofreeze or pain cream going over my sore areas, I have some, yeah, maybe that's a good idea" and then I got up to put some on...now I'm up 😂
    Edited to add: I actually love most of your videos, most of them really help me wind down and fall asleep, just sometimes there are little things like that I notice!

    • @MichellesSanctuary
      @MichellesSanctuary  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the feedback-- I wasn't thinking of this-- although it's a great option and works! I think when I wrote it I was hoping for something even more powerful and lasting. Anything to soothe-- and blue is so soothing. Funny to read this comment as I actually only tried BioFreeze for the first time ever this week (and as you can tell this was written a long time ago). 💜
