I can't tell you how many compliments I have gotten on my bracelets. I got 10 sets. I made 4 and attached them together to make a 4 Rose Bracelet. I hammered it with my chasing hammer to make it glimmer and shine. thanks so much for supplying the wire and the instructions in the kit. It was fun and easy!
This would be a great item to make and sell while you sitting in both. Clients/customers will feel it was made for them. Love the patterning technique. It takes advantage of what we usually are trying to avoid--marks and dings to the metal.
Thank you for this bangle bracelet ..love this a lot..been teaching jewelry making for many many years..I did earing much like this and now I adore this..I love the rings made like this too..Great going !
Got this kit, but I bought 5~! I thought I was getting 5 wires for 5 bracelets, but I got 5 sets of 5 good thing too, cuz I used the first 5 practicing. The making of the bracelet is as easy as she says and shows it is,. The HARD part is finding the "pot" or round item that closely matches your bangle (bracelet/over the wrist) size! I am just going to get a Bracelet Mandrel /bracelet bending plier! I was straightening the wire with a nylon head plier, don't have to do that. I LOVE this tanks.
After watching this tutorial I got so inspired to try this! To the point where I was watching this video while in the craft store to make sure I got all the proper tools & materials. And I made the beautiful bracelets today. I Love them. Thank You for an easy & inspiring tutorial.
I was going to ask the same thing, till I realized it doesn't matter about the length. The longer the wire the bigger the rosette! I love this. so easy. hard part finding the right size pot to twist it around, I am getting a Bracelet Mandrel. This is so easy and affordable. great for practice before Sterling Silver or Gold (Filled and/or plated too).
I've been sitting on this project for a long time, and finally gave it a shot. These couldn't be easier, and the results are stunning! Aluminum wire is cheap and I've made 6 bracelets out of one standard package from Michaels. They do stretch a bit from texturing, and it took a bit for me to determine my bangle size, but other than that this project is very forgiving and instantly gratifying. TFS!
vidbox44 I'm glad you enjoyed this project! Make sure to check out all of the cool color selections of aluminum wire we have available at www.beadplace.net!
Thanks for the tutorial, I have this as my next project. I also (like a few others) love the ring you are wearing on your thumb. Are you going to make a tutorial about that. (I hope so). Thanks.
Yes, I really used aluminum wire. Aluminum is much softer than Sterling, so for this project, it is ideal with the minimal tool usage. The project can be done in any metal you'd like. You will, however, have a much harder time texturing with pliers if you use a different wire. You could always slip the bangle onto a round bracelet mandrel and texture with a hammer if you choose to use a different wire. If you choose to use copper, I recommend using a dead soft temperament wire.
Thanks for the vid! I bought several colors of 12g aluminum wire a couple of years ago, then couldn't remember what I intended to do with all of it. Now I know! Great idea & I'll bet they sell well too.
Hi Abbi, I love the stackable Rose Bangle Bracelets. I'm new to wire wrapping. I have a very small wrist and I have a hard time finding bangles that are my size. Your tutorial is so easy to follow. I ordered some wire to make my own size bracelets. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the response. I thought it was silver because it looks brighter in your video than aluminum does. Btw, did you see my question about Malia's bangles? Any chance you know how to make those and could do a tutorial for it? I'd be hugely grateful if you could, of all the users I've asked about this, no one has responded.
Thank you! The ring was inspired by the work of an artist named Lisa Claxton. I believe she has an Etsy store where you can probably find a tutorial for a very similar ring!
Sori for delay Mel McKnight ~ I just saw this ~ couldn't find tutorial on Etsy but you can find here on UA-cam ~ I just typed in how to make stackable rings in Search area
I REALLY love this project - thank you very much for sharing it! I only have copper so I'll try it with that, and I might try it one day in different coloured wires.
This project is great, especially for a beginner like me!! I love the thumb-ring you are wearing in the video. Do you have instruction on how to make it??? (spiral with round, flat end) Also, what is your best recommendation for protecting copper from discoloring?
+Sandra Price Hi there! Thank you! The thumb ring was inspired by the work of an artist named Lisa Claxton and I believe she has an Etsy site where you can purchase a tutorial. As for preventing discoloration on wire, I would recommend either Renaissance Wax or a sealer of some sort like Jewelry Shield.
+debbie zalak Hi Debbie! Thank you! It was a design inspired by the work of an artist named Lisa Claxton. I believe she has the tutorial for sale on Etsy.
Hey Abbi, this is an amazing tutorial I work with aluminum pure wire all the time and when I saw this I thought holy crap why didn't I think of this, I do this with rings. I have a question, What is the length of the wire you cut to make this project or does it matter cause I do have a bracelet mandrel in sizes so guess its a freeform length to cut?
Wonderfull video, tutorial, much enjoyed, and really liked, i will try this thank you so much for taking the time to show this to us. Nice techniques, you used.
Hi Abbi, well I did the bangles but I wanted to know what kind of pliers did you use to get that texture I've gone to Michaels and Hobby Lobby but it doesn't have that grove...please help.
+NORMA RAMIREZ Hi there. Your best bet is to get actual jewelry pliers rather than the cheap ones the craft stores sell. If you have a local bead store or jewelry supply shop, they should have the right kind of pliers. Otherwise, we stock the pliers I used in our web store: www.beadplace.net/apps/webstore/products/show/2917492
Hi, really sorry to bother you. I was just wondering if you had a chance to look into the bangles I asked about, the wire wrapped bangles I'd asked if you knew how to make? Please let me know and thanks very much for your time.
+Mary Halvorson aluminum actually doesn't oxidize in the same way that sterling and copper do. We've never had an issue with our aluminum products changing color or leaving marks on anyone's hands or clothing. We've been teaching this project in our store for years and we have multiple full classes a month and we've never had any complaints!
Sure, just make sure it's soft temperament if you're using a thick gauge like 12. You can use this technique for whatever size wire you'd like. Just make sure to hammer and harden the wire if you're using thinner gauges.
Teri Geurts Hi there! The links are in the video description. I'm not sure if a hardware store would have aluminum wire, but you local bead store might. Otherwise, you can order it through the web store.
Hi Abbi! I know this is an older video, but I just found it. Love the bracelet! Will save this video so I can reference it when I sit down to make the bracelets. They will be perfect for Daytona Biketober Fest! Thanks for sharing! Also, I loved the wrapped silver ring on your thumb? Did you make it and do you have a tutorial on how to make it? Thanks so much..... I really enjoy your videos! You make the coolest things!! ❤😊🌼
Thank you so much! Glad to help! The thumb ring I'm wearing in this video is a project inspired by a Lisa Claxton tutorial. I believe at one point, she sold her tutorials on Etsy but I haven't been able to find her recently. If I get a hold of her or find out where she's publisher her tutorial, I'll let you know!
Abbi Berta Wow! Firstly, THANKS a whole buncha roses, Abbi! I've made like 10 things with 20 gauge so far (this looks doable) and I'll letchya know how my 12 gauge diy goes -- once I gain more confidence, cool?! Secondly, enjoyable video; simple, sweet, to the point. Refreshing to see on UA-cam. Many thanks from another naturally-wired friend on UA-cam!! Leona ||~_~|| All the Bestest!
In the video, I say to use approximately 1.5 feet, but I usually use a shorter length because I'm a tiny person and I have very small hands. You can always cut a longer length if you're unsure, then trim the ends when you have the right size rose. Thanks for watching!
I didn't see the comment. Somehow, it was marked as spam so I just try to ignore those. I'll have to take a look and see if it's something we can fit in the schedule.
In the video, I state how to measure the bangle. The amount of wire cut isn't relative to your wrist size. It would be more relative to your hand size, because it needs to fit over your knuckles. Usually, I cut about 14" and I have fairly small hands. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the kind words! We post new DIY tutorials about once a month, but if you'd like to see more, you can like our page on facebook, The Bead Place.
In the video, I state 1.5 feet, but I usually use a shorter length, more like 14". One tip that I can give you is to use a plastic cup and cut the bottom out from it. Then mark where on the cup your hand fits through and then use that line on the cup.

Thank you!
I absolutely love it! So easy to make and beautiful. I hope to see more of your creative work soon. Thank you for the video.

That’s awesome! I bet you could do a similar technique to make stackable rings as well! Thanks.
I think I will try and make this with some floral wire. Thank you for a nice tutorial and giving me a new twist to add to a different project.
+prismaticmem Thanks for watching! Good luck!
I did take a look. We won't make an exact copy but we will consider similar styles for our monthly workshop videos.
Simple and soo beautiful! I'm going to try it with copper.
Love this design, can't wait to try it myself.

I am just learning how to work with wire and I love it. Thanks for the tutorial and I look forward to making these for myself very soon!
They are great and yout tutorial was easy to follow...ideal for teenagers for Christmas....
Definitely! A stack of these bangles makes the BEST present! I like to tie them together with a cute bow and then dangle a charm off of one.

Thank you!
Beautiful idea!
Love how she makes her rose
Loved it. What other materials can be used for this project
Whatever kind of wire you want! Check out the links in the description for product info!
Love this! You mention using aluminum. Can you use sterling silver and if so would I still use 12 gauge found .8mm? Thank you!
I REALLY love this project - thank you very much for sharing it! I only have copper so I'll try it with that, and I might try it one day in different coloured wires.
Just love your tuts. Keep them coming
did u make your ring I love it
Can this be done with sterling silver?
Not as easily because aluminum is softer, but yes, if you have strong hands!
I thought I invented that look that you're doing. I have plenty of these roses Bangles made about a year ago. Lol cool great minds think alike
Haha, thanks!
love this tutorial, just one question tho...how many inches do I add to my actual wrist size before cutting the wire?
This project is great, especially for a beginner like me!! I love the thumb-ring you are wearing in the video. Do you have instruction on how to make it??? (spiral with round, flat end) Also, what is your best recommendation for protecting copper from discoloring?

Christa Thomas Hi Christa. You can buy it from us! All the links are in the description.
That was awesome, so simple but great effect, thanks for sharing :)

Amazing thanks for teaching us to make bracelets are very nice greetings from Peru.
Karol S.F. Thanks for watching!
Very cute. I like these for Derby day (the run for the roses).
Did you make the thumb ring you are wearing?
Thank you! I did!
I've see other people harden it with a hammer and use steel wool. Do you have to do that with these bracelets?
Amanda Bennett Nope. Aluminum will always stay pretty soft but you're actually hardening them with your pliers as you texture them.
Thank you - this was a great tutorial! Something I can share with my teenage granddaughters and my daughter! :)
Thanks for your kind words!
dosent the aluminum wire oxidize? leaving marks on hand and clothing?

Sure, just make sure it's soft temperament if you're using a thick gauge like 12. You can use this technique for whatever size wire you'd like. Just make sure to hammer and harden the wire if you're using thinner gauges.
Thank you. The original design is by an artist named Lisa Claxton. She has a tutorial with a kit for sale in her Etsy shop: LisasKitchenSink.
Did you really use aluminum for these because in the video they look more like sterling silver to me.
I think you could use copper wire too btw.
Super cute!!!

Ok, thank you I will check that out.

nice where do you get your wire from
The wire is from www.beadplace.net. The links are in the description above.
what mm is your wire?
how much longer duss the wire has to be then the object?
It depends on how big you want your rose to be. I recommend starting out with 1.5' of wire and going up or down from there.
I didn't see the comment. Somehow, it was marked as spam so I just try to ignore those. I'll have to take a look and see if it's something we can fit in the schedule.
