    Why on earth is there any thumbs down.... Who are these 4 miserable people? At art & farmers' markets there are always a few haters that get mad when the products you make are better than theirs. Up your game people... as always great vids. Your tutorials are greatly appreciated!

      The Little Garage Studio I agree with the ladies that commented before, I have watching videos to get started making jewelry and yours are the best so far.....being a newbie, your video was informative, and not too long and not too short to rush through, Great Job, you have a new subscriber :-)

      Why do you feel it necessary to disparage people who disagree with you? Wouldn’t it be better to find out WHY they disagree? Maybe there is something to learn that can improve the video or the technique. Just to call someone miserable and hateful without knowing the reasoning is miserable and hateful and shows that you lack self confidence. WWJD? Look at Anita’s comment. She obviously does not agree with the four who disliked the video, but she is not vindictive about it.

      @@klcwarchitect I bet Jesus wouldn't reply two years after...maybe two-thousand and twenty though. Did you put a thumbs down? If so why? What can be better? All my questions are rhetorical, and I'll blame the stay at home order...and being stuck at home together... ;)

    I have watched countless tutorials on make this style of bracelet. You were the first person who explained that how to handle the little issues that come up, like one of the wire coils sticking up or the coil wraps getting covered over. I thought I was making mistakes. And the plastic cup was pure genius. Thanks!

Using the plastic cups for a mandrel is such a creative idea and so nice for people not ready to invest in sets of mandrels! Your video is really good. Your video helped me so much! I've been making these bracelets, and my wire bends out of shape easy after the bracelets are made. I use 20g wire. Do I need to use a different wire, or am I doing something wrong?

    • @AbbiBerta
      @AbbiBerta  8 років тому +1

      +Alley p12 Hmm, you might be using soft temperament wire instead of half hard wire. Did you purchase it as "craft wire" or "artistic wire" from a craft store? If so, maybe try a harder wire. From my experience, 20 ga. should not bend out of shape like that unless it is soft temperament.

    I am wondering why you didn’t make three wraps at the new site on the bracelet before you put the last bead on. I see that you put wraps after the bed and then go back and put them around the beginning of the bed. Is this intentional?

      I am using a plated copper half hard temperament wire. The product information is in the description.

    I used 24 gauge and compared it to a bracelet created exactly the same way I’d bought at a store and it was very flimsy... easy to bend.. the one I bought wasn’t. Instead of using a 24 gauge, I’ll be using an 18 gauge. More firm.

    It would be costly to make a stacking few. The stones are expensive.

      It certainly can be if you're wanting a statement set of bracelets like these, however there are cheaper blingy crystals available. These Swarovski beads are the top of the line, but Chinese crystals are pretty sparkly too and they're often a lot cheaper.

    tbh, i dont like the style, and 24 gauge wire will bend under slightest pressure no matter how mny times you wrap it around

      Mine don't. It depends on the type of wire you use. Soft temperament wires obviously aren't for this project. We use half hard or hard temperament wire and have never had an issue. I wear mine frequently.

    You are not a bird so you don't have a "wingspan".
