Naval Action - Sealed Bottles

- This is a tutorial on how to more safely find and use sealed bottles in Naval Action. Sealed bottles can be found by fishing, and will spawn a shipwreck on the map once opened. A great quantity of rare crafting materials and woods can be found in these wrecks.

Thank you for making these videos, they make me want to start playing again
Your'e welcome. Hope to see you chasing my indiaman in game sometime haha!
Ive just started out in this game and ive been quite overwhelmed but this does seem like a good way to get stuff
There's a lot to take in, but the secret is to learn one step at a time. And joining a clan helps.
You can force/predict spawn locations with these. If say you find one near Robras in Cuba outside the port it will spawn north of Cuba but if you sail a bit south to Cocodrilo and open it off the coast there it will spawn near the Caymens. Hope this info saves someone some time or ships, good luck.
Nice to see another video from you.
Can you do one on something a little bit more intermediate? I got to Commodore in a week, and was wondering where/how in the world one might be able to track down enemy players doing trade runs and the like.
That's a good suggestion for a future video. I'm certainly hoping to progress towards more intermediate content in the future, I'll keep that idea in mind.
@@kairos468 Loving your videos bro, the way you speak is just easy to listen to and follow. Thanks for the effort!
@@ChrisDesi Thanks, man!
I just did my first bottle and just had a small ship with a cargohold of 1,000 managed to get everything and had 5 gold ingots in them sold them and ended up in total with 2,1 million
is this game worth getting? is there singleplayer or just some type of battle mode? like dueling mode or something, also does it take forever to get a bigger ship like a brig or frigate?
There is a PVE server, but no single player battle mode. Although you can do missions that set up battles on the map for you to fight AI. You should be able to get hold of frigates pretty early on, but anything bigger will take a while. Naval Action is grindy, so I'd only recommend getting into it if you have time for that kind of longer game.
@@kairos468 understood ty
Is there no fast travel? Do you just literlly sail for 30 minutes watching your ship?
Yep, that's part of the thrill... or at least it was back when there were enough players on the map that you had to keep a content eye out.
@KairoS With the help of your videos, I'm liking the overall concept of the game, but I agree that the initial iteration sounds much better.
Now that I am a father I think I'll struggle to get missions done as I will probably have MAYBE a few hours a day to myself without interruption.
Man. Sold mine to the market for 1200
how did you move your camera like that 11:22
For me it's hold the right mouse button, and move the mouse to look around.
Have you never learned how to tack in a sailing ship? What's with this pulling in to wait for favourable winds stuff?
Yes, I can tack. It's implemented pretty realistically, I actually taught myself by reading real-life sailing manuals for square rigged ships.
There is no point in trying to tack in the open world map though, it's simply quicker to wait for a better wind before leaving port.
I would like to ask, can you get sealed bottles on the PVE server.
I've never got one on the PvE server myself, but I'm pretty sure I've seen them for sale on the market. So I think you can.
@@kairos468 Woo hoo i got one. after about 60 hours of play. In the Atlantic. So i can confirm you can get them on PVE.
If Im on the pve server does it matter where I open it ? or is it purely to avoid enemies in pvp?
On the PvE server it won't matter, but I'd open the bottle at your main storage port. That way the wreck should spawn somewhere relatively close to home.
@@kairos468 would other players be able to loot my wreck though?
@@thatbrattycat No, this wreck is just visible for you. You can't see other players wrecks either
Have you stopped your Pirate playthrough in Totw emp.?
Don't worry, Timon. I'm still working on both the Empire and Cold Waters series, I've had a cold though so my schedule has been messed up. Regular uploading was never my strong point.
@@kairos468 I hope you're better soon
Installed on kubuntu and running flawesly 😎. Play tutorials until you get used to the mechanics if you dont want to get frustrated early.
I wanna play this game again but I want it to wipe
A lot has changed in the past few months with recent updates, you should give it a go.
This looks like something out of assassin’s creed
I hadn't noticed that myself, but I think I see what you mean now you point it out. Naval combat is a bit more complex here than in Assassin's Creed though.
I don't see it.
