Great video. It helped me so much when I started few months ago. Thank you so much. Question on ship building RNG: in you experience, how often do you get 4/5 slot ships, and does crafting level plays a big role in the outcome? I have leve level 6 crafting and only ever had one blue 4 slot ship..

From my understanding and own experience it very rare/random on pve, slightly more than on pvp. As to the numbers behind it I can’t say. But I think 80% of my builds have been 3/5blue standart. Rest mostly purple. And only 3 golds. And I’ve crafted a lot of ships😅

Thank you☺️👍🏻 Alive enough if you like the theme/period. Though it’s different from server to server and nation. So I’d look into that before committing. As for DLCs, I have a video on the subject but my opinion is that the Ship DLC are a waist of money. When starting no DLC is needed IMO. But if you get heavily into the game I suggest Admiralty and Navy connection. The rest are just for looks and comfort. Ingame ships are easy to get a hold of. Plus if proper built they better than any DLC ship.

Does i need to be on lvl 7 to craft the mods ?
Hello sir. I assume that by mods you mean upgrades such as British gunnery sergeant and cartegena caulking refit etc.
It’s been awhile but as far as I remember… no you dont.
What you need are either the workshop or academy, the needed ressources/books and you need the right permit for that upgrade. These can be bought from Admiralty shop.

Yeah it take a while on your own, as income is small in the beginning. Most clans are happy to support new members with some resources and reals to speed the process along

Not really really important. However I personally find it makes the initial progress faster, more fun and down the line combat in groups are great fun:) personal opinion ofc:)
if you where just starting out complete noob would you recommend pve to learn game or just go for pvp
Sorry for the late reply 🧐 I would choose the server that you intent to mainly play in. As your gains on one is separate to the other.
You could start on pve and when confident enough switch to pvp. But just be aware that it means starting over.

The basic core mechanic is make it impossible for solo players to advance. I pick a kill mission, and in the mission it's literally 6 to 1 against me, all the same level 6. I've spent a lot of time trying to like this game, just can't.

Sad to hear you have such a hard time in the game, can understand the frustration if it gives that feeling of an uphill struggle constantly🥺
If I may give a suppestion. From what you wrote I understand you are in a rank 6 ship. If that is correct then, IMO, you shouldn’t be doing group kill or enemy x6 missions solo yet. There are different combat missions and if you really want to do missions for the reward go for the kill missions (not group kill) that says 1x ‘rank of ship’ per player.
Personally i wouldn’t bother too much with the missions at rank 6. Well Hunt plus search and destroy are passive so those are always good to have. I would just go the nearest area that have ships that I know I can fight and sink. And then just go work. You’ll make xp, reals, doubloons and loot easily enough this way:)
What nation have you joined and have you considered joining a clan? It’s a great way to to get forward faster.
Regarding the solo play aspect. Is the game harder if you have to do it all on your own? Yes absolutely! Everything takes more time, it’s harder to get all the resources you need, you can’t farm everything yourself, certain missions can be near impossible to do solo, it’s hard to find answers to questions you may have etc. etc.
However, I will say this. I know several successful solo players that are doing well and enjoying the game fine on their own. It just takes time to figure out how make solo play feel good for you. My time in game is mixed between solo and community stuff, which I find is a good balance for me😊 but each need to find his own way.
I’d still advise any solo player to be active in his country’s nation chat. It’s a great place to ask questions, make trade connections and find other like minded people, that may be able to help from time to time.
