@@HealthWatchWisconsin Yes. If you explain an unknown topic to the viewers with more unknown terms, it is hard to make sense of it. Isn't it possible to explain the concept with simple well-known analogies that we, regular people, can relate?
I am a jamaican living in america. Let me explain to those who are not physicians with a masters in public health. Medcaid is shitty care but it is better than nothing and poor people in america based on a capitalist view don’t deserve anything more than shitty care because they cant afford anything more. So with that said: Medicaid is the only health insurance that is basically taxpayers money set up by the state and government federally has to match that instead of spending the money on another war somewhere or tax cuts to people making more than 500k/yr. (the people who deserve more because they are worth more based on the Current USA model of human worth). What a block grant says is that instead of covering poor people we will just give a standard fixed amount of money and even if inflation occurs or a bunch of new poor white Americans (code switch) are born it will not change. So block grants basically are a way to limit giving more money to the poor because of things like an ever increasing population of poor people. This is sad sad sad, makes me mad, and it is bad. There you go for all the people who cant understand the english coming out of her mouth.
When an explanation is full of jargon, nobody understands what you are talking about.
Always open to criticism. How can we do better? Less jargon?
