My best friend bought a stock 89 mx6 turbo with 4ws MT. It was his first car in 07 got it with 180k for $1,200 he beat on that car until 290k and only did oil changes and tires. We surprised a lot of mid 2000s civics and new edge mustangs In that thing. Only if we count the off the line acceleration corners lol. Not a straight line car. Loved the boxy 80s coupes over the 90s style. Still rocking my 86 300zx turbo to this day.
I gotta disagree about the Probe, it was basically a Mazda and as such was a fantastic handling car. I’d take a GT with a V-6 and a manual gearbox over anything short of an AWD DSM. Super under appreciated car.
You just don't see most of these cars on the road often, this was a nice trip. Luckily I know quite a few survivors in my area. There's an old guy in my neighborhood that has an SVX that was restored/repainted WRB. My dentist is the original owner of a 3000GT VR4, I forget if hers has the active aero or if it's newer. And an old friend has a Stealth R/T TT that he gutted & built into an 800hp drag car in his car collection. A mutual friend of his had a Probe GT back in the day, but that thing's long crushed. And I don't think I've seen an MX-6 in about 10 years. The Acura Legend coupe though... someone in town's still got a mint red 95 2nd gen they keep hidden away. I have no idea if it's got the type 2 engine with the 6 speed though. Speaking of which, you didn't even mention the type 1 & 2 C32 engines, and the power numbers are a bit higher than what was stated here with the type 2 getting like 230hp or something, both are over 200. Such an amazing car for it's time though.
@@robinyuga There was an old dead 840 for years a few streets down, since been sold/scrapped. My neighbor around the corner had a sick early 90s air cooled Porsche, forget the model but it was up there. He died suddenly last year, dunno if his wife still kept it. Dude a few streets down had a turbo Deloreon, they moved after their house burned up a few years back. My next door neighbor's got a newish M5 & Denali... I could be here awhile if I'm just talking about cool shit in my little section of town. Way back in the day one friend had a 200sx se-r, I got to drive it a few times. It was a pretty fun car. Now another friend had a Nissan NX2000 that had originally been his friend's since new, then his younger sister's. Talk about a rare, forgotten 90s coupe. He swapped a turbo sr20det from a Pulsar gti-r into it and really fully built it over a decade. He sold it last year unfortunately, as well as the 96 Impala SS he bought new but blew up years ago.
Unpopular opinion here, but I believe the mk1 Renault megane coupe (preferably prefacelift) is quite a good entry, as not many are about or even thought of today, and it’s roots as the maxi megane kit car.
2 best 90 vars were the nissan 300ZX tin turbo and toyota supra twin turbo both awesome cars though ZX was much better looking than supra but supra a monster engine and ability to be built to 1000 hp easy and still hold up.
need to speak clearly so we understand what you are saying with that heavy accent! rather than mumbling your words fast EXAMPLE 2:43 it's not niny niny three, it's nineteen ninety three

One of my alltime favourites "box cars": 1985 Toyota Celica Supra.
An ‘86 turbo Z? Hell yeah never let go of that.
I loved the 90's coupes! Lotta fun in (generally) small packages.

The Acura Legend was gawd dayumn NICE. Back in the day it was a status symbol.
It was a very good looking car!

I have 2 neighbours who still rock a 200sx and there are plenty of 90s BMW 8 series and Porsche 928s in my area.

missed oppurtunity: mazda should have given the probe design to the mx-6
Kappa had a 5 cyl engine too
Im still driving a 90s coupe...lol...only car of its kind in my town
None of these cars are forgotten or unknown
For some they are not. But most of the people today prefer the new and the fancy. I am still stuck in the 90s era and love it.

Lancia beta coupe/alpine gta/a610
First gen Probe was better.. the 3000GT vR4 was awesome, when ran. SVX cool, if odd. The US version of the MX6 looked better if melted.

Why u r not making any videos ?
Actually i will. In my case life threw a curveball. But now i am ready to start doing new videos. Any topic that would be of interest?
Had lots of tech but also many flaws and unreliable. This is why it was unknown as it failed miserably

Amen to that!

Please do not tell me which cars I know of.. I actually know all of them and have owned and driven quite a few of them.
That speaks for your good taste ;-)
