It's only sensible to load up as many people as you can knowing damn well you're going to crash... I know it's just a game, but damn what a dick move; I definitely understand their anger. I imagine you've become much better now at least? lol

Even though it can be a bit much when people take a game too seriously, but still... why not have a little decency in not screwing your team over? It's just a game, but an absolute dick move on your part as soo much time and mental energy is invested in these games and to screw your team over; potentially wasting 50 hours of peoples time (a full team playing 1 hour)- just for a little laugh...
That speaks more about your character and who you are when no one irl is looking as opposed to them taking the game too seriously- and much of it rightfully so as it's just straight up a completely senseless and asshole move by you.

I just started and something 😂
1. PLEASE do not argue with the pilot on where to drop you off. If a location is hot and he can't drop you right on your mark that's pretty much it. You will have to run the rest of the way.
2. If you ask for supplies with a helo, don't ask for them if there is enemy armor nearby. If it's clear one minute and then hot the next minute while the Helo is en route then LET HIM KNOW. So many times I've tried dropping supplies for people who failed to mention enemy armor nearby (armor that isn't marked)
3. If you choose a helicopter on either the right or left helipad, that chopper is yours. Don't take another squad's helicopter if it spawns in first or if they aren't spawned in or around. Respect other peoples rights to vehicles.

Yea I noticed gaining a ton of altitude using this technique, the updated flight model is way different
I’ve been playing squad for nearly 100 hours now with only a few hours on the ground, I love to fly and can definitely say these tips will help people of all skill levels.

I just tried flying for my first time today I’m the training. Was expecting it to be like GTA flying. Crashed 1000 times but it’s so fun to learn
Not sure if it's a bug, but my rudder indicator never change. They're locked in that 50/50 position, doesn't matter what I do really.
does anyone have the issue where their helicopter keeps rolling to the right? I can't solo heli and drop off supplies efficiently when hovering because its ALWAYS rolling to the right.... so annoying
for me the nose is automaticly going down alway so i cant hover at all

just a technicality....Altitude is the distance between you and sea level......Height is the distance between you and the ground beneath you
I think you are confusing it with elevation
I know this is old, but altitude is for both land and sea

I think they recently did something with the B20 update that makes the helicopters seem heavier, and harder to slow down... :/

I'm struggling to maintain altitude at speed. I always seem to end up climbing or losing alt. Maintaining my pitch only makes me gain alt.

i love squad and would love to become a pilot in it, however for me the flight model is horrifically crude, with it feeling like the developers lazily hacked the vehicle into the game.
@@chadsteadman2604 thats just flying a helicopter, one input affects two other things. its just the flight model itself and the controls are terrible, they need to look at arma 3s flight model
i could fly on arma ii with my arms tied, could do any kind of manouver, land almost anywhere. but on squad i struggle to just keep the heli on the floor... i just wants to fly all by itself sometimes
@@KaiSoDaM Yh same, arma 2 and 3 I’m always the best pilot amongst everyone I’m with, not the best ever ofc but def a much better than most, but the squad flight model is that of the advanced flight model but really cheap
Does anyone know if the command for changing maps in training has changed? adminchangemap doesn't work for me
Adminchangelayer. There's also a thing on the workshop that you can download where you can use "adminchangelayer heli" and you can choose a map that you play on in multiplayer and practice helis. Way better than the current heli training map.

As interesting as i found this video, i was wondering if you could simulate some helicopter combat maneuvers such as: Break turns, cross turns, tac turns, hook turns, shackle turns, split turns and dig and pinch :)
Pretty sure textbook terrain flight decelerations are impossible because the aircraft’s reaction to the collective drop is too late.
Guys, if you overcorrect to much, the Warp Drive kicks in and you're flying faster than lightspeed.
Can I use a flight control setup? I have a pretty good set up for both rotary and fixed wings for flight sims.
Haven't played Squad in ages, and ended up BSing around on a really cool server that no longer exists. Met a dude who 'taught' me some flying after he picked up my fireteam blasting Fortunate Son lmfaoo. I actually didn't do terrible (can't J-hook but can get her to A and B with minimal ouch) and had a great time!
Redownloading Squad so I can get back into it and practice and hopefully someday master piloting. Gonna put some hours down in training mode with your vids as a guide. Thanks for the vids

Any tips for people who are trying to make the transition from test server to live server? Because live server definitely places you in scenarios that are hard to replicate on the test server…. And people on the game nowadays seem pretty unforgiving for learning pilots

I really, REALLY need help with inverting my pitch. I can't get squad to invert the pitch. I recently came back to Squad after playing Elite Dangerous in VR for the last 4 years, and I CANNOT pitch up with a downstroke on the mouse, but, inverting in settings, is not taking effect...

How often do players get to actually fly in this game? I find it hard sometimes even getting in a tank crew in Postscriptum.

I am always moving my body to the place I am trying to go, for example I lean to the top right if I am trying to get through one of those pesky loops and it is higher and to the right, hoping to increase my momentum using my body lol

Can a joystick be used if so how is it bound?
Joystick support has not been officially implemented in Squad, but it is planned on the Roadmap and supposed to come in 2021.

So many buzz words; bleed off air speed. THat is a phrase we use in rotary aviation, force multiplier is a common army phrase too.

Just don’t be that guy that first times the heli in pub servers cuz they think it looks cool and proceeds to lose the team 15 tickets worth of heli and a full squad
To new pilots...ignore all this technical jargon, it’s useless. It’s a videogame and only requires practice and getting a feel for how the heli flies. No amount of 50% this and collective that will help you get better. Only practice will make you a proficient pilot.
I wish the choppers had the same control as the helicopters in GTA 5 lol.
GTA?😂 It would be better if it was like in flight sim. The majority would probably crash all the time then, lol. If that was the case I would gladly be a badass heli pilot in squad for sure😎
