Bunnies need a companion unless their is a heath reason but they are social, if you cannot afford to fix both that’s not fair to them. You seem super sweet and genuine so no hate at all but rabbits are definitely not cheap!
Thank you so much for educating her and possibly other people as well! I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to look for this comment because it was the top comment. Happy holidays from me and by fur babies❤️
They deff don't need that many pellets. Just 1/3 a cup a day. I put them in treat puzzles. Obviously twice a day fresh greens & if you Can try to find a diff brand of hay. I used to use the Walmart one too till I realized how bad it was. And getting them fixed is a must! It will help you a lot with litter training too. I got my rabbit a few months ago not by choice but learned a lot!
You should check out Lennon the Bunny or Cinnabon. You are giving way too many pellets and rabbits need vegetables in their diet. I don’t know if you are using hay which they need a constant supply of.
They need way more hay them a small Walmart bag ! They need hay 24/7. In huge piles . Hay helps them get fiber so their gut keeps moving . If they don’t get a huge amount they can go into gut stasis and die in 12 hours .
I know, like I said in the video it was totally unexpected for me to get rabbits that day & I went to the closets Walmart near my house which was late already and they only had small items. I had to wait till the next morning to get them a bigger bag, but don’t worry! I order big boxes of oxbow for them every 2 weeks.
Hi, just some advice, please properly measure the amount of pellets you are giving your rabbits. The average 4-6lbs rabbit should be getting 1/8 of a cup or 2 tablespoons of pellets, not a large scoop.
I can’t wait until I get a job and can pay for all of my own things the bunnies available to adopt in my area are soo adorable!! There’s also local vets that can take care of bunnies not too far away!
Psst! You should get big plastic boxes (underbed storage containers do great) fill them a little with wooden cat litter pellets (much cheaper than shredded paper bedding) and get a gravity water bowl, saves you from having to constantly refresh and clean dishes, the water lasts a very long time stored in the container and refreshes itself when the bottom container is getting low, has saved me so much time and effort. The wooden cat litter pellets are safe covered with hay and easier to clean and get rid of waste as it compacts. Very cute bunnies!
Hi I love this video there were a couple things that should be fixed 1,i recommend oxbow food it’s really good and vet recommended 2, in good care bunnies can live up to 15 years old (I don’t thing this was necessarily your fault) 3, you shouldn’t hold a bunny right after you get it and yes I do understand why you handled it well because of Pine shavings Thank you for reading this some channels I would recommend is Lennon the bunny she is a amazing bunny mom No hate at all just some pointers ❤
Hi! Thank you for your suggestions. 1) I already feed them oxbow, I showed in the video. Besides the hay I’ve already changed that since October. 2) Yeah, she was a healthy bun, I guess the sudden change triggered her. 3) Not sure why you can’t hold a bun right after getting them? I’ve always had to get them out the box when adopting one..? Thanks!
@@cassyherrera TY SO MUCH FOR SWITCHING THE HAY also I didn’t mean any hate at all it’s just bunny’s are sensitive and they could go into shock one thing I forgot to mention was the amount of pellets depending on the weight is half a cup like a 7-8 pound bunny should get half a cup and lots of veggies I’m really sorry if i came off rude
I’m a bunny mom of 2 holland lop bunnies, and I’ve had thumper my first rabbit sing he was 2 months. Bunnies need hidey houses! And I don’t know how old they are but bunnies 6 months and under need alfalfa hay because they need the. Calcium. If they’re older yes they need Timothy hay because it’s high in fibers. Please get 2 hides so they don’t get territorial over 1 hide! And you should get 2 wate bowls. Small bunnies can drink as much as a big dog in a day. And get alfalfa hay if their young, oxbow is the best brand. And you should get a little play mat so they don’t slip, they can slip so much that their legs with grow apart. And they have to do exercises to fix it ( from hat I’ve read and heard!! ), Thank you! You seem like a great bunny mom aside from that. I’m also not a veterinarian or anything so don’t take this like I’m a professional 🫢 bye!
I recommend getting your hair buster come. Also make sure the spay and neuter your rabbits as a bunny should never be dying at three years of age. And yes, keep both rabbits. Bunnies are very social creatures. Also, I’d look into a pellet less diet as it is best for most rabbits. And make sure to have some hidey houses
Girl that is way too many pellets! They should get 1/4cup twice a day. Each. Not trying to hate just trying to help 🤗 if they get overweight it’s really hard to get them to lose the weight as they need a constant supply of food. Also I dont know if you’ve ever tried wood pellet bedding it will save u so much $! Any tractor supply store u can get a 40LB bag for around $10 USD! Here in Canada I go to Canadian Tire and get a 40LB bag for $7 (CAD) Love your bunnies! I have a Lionhead and a Holland Lop 🥰❤🤗
Not even 1/4 cup max 2 Tbsp for adults rabbits from 3 to 8 lbs once daily timothy hay pellets. My rabbits are still overweight so they get 1 tbsp and the larger rabbit that is 8 lbs gets 2 tbsp because she normal weight for her breed. Pellet bedding is horse stall pellets or hardwood stove pellets vs using paper bedding. A lot of farm supply stores carry them or fleet supply stores carry and they are way cheaper. I’m in Minnesota and we have Fleet Farm and Menards and the 40lb bags of wood stove pellets run $5-6 a piece. Fleet farm where I’m at also carries Timothy hale bales for $20 a piece. Although we choose to buy from small pet select and go through a 40lb box a month with 6 rabbits. 6 seniors from 6 years old to 12 years old. Please make sure you find a good exotics vet and and emergency vet for your rabbits and educate yourself about GI stasis. Just went through stasis with an 11 year old and she was on the verge of being put down, but she turned around right before the appointment. Took me 3 days of syringe feeding her and medicating her.
Super cute! Hopefully they are both fixed soon to prevent a pregnancy, and generally better behaved bunnies, as well as healthier. Someone else mentioned a rug, I would say thats a definite. My only question is, why did you not try and bond your previous bunny with another one, instead of rehoming him? Please dont take my question as an attack, I can clearly see you have a lot of love to give your fur babies. Its just that rabbits can live 12-15yrs, and your rabbit could have bonded to another one and you could have had 10+ years with him. Also, bonding to a bunny can take time, patience is key. Best of luck.
They are so cute! The reddish one looks like my Arielle, who pass away last year. I've always used a vet associated to the local House Rabbit society for neutering and spaying, they are so much less then a 'regular' vet. There should be one in Florida. I'm in CA and normally paid less than $100 for a spay or a neuter. I hope you can keep them both ;)
Hi! Thank you for your sweet comment. This was honestly super helpful, you have no idea how much I appreciate you! 🥹 & aww I’m so sorry for your loss! But yes, I kept both of them. They are the cutest things ever 🥺
They are very cute but you need to fix them asap they are old enough to breed they can breed at a very young age age and the female may already be pregnant. Kept the separate until you get them fixed and that will also stop marking and aggressive behavior
I consider them my children, as I have to take care of them like my own. Clearly, I have to buy their food, pay for their check ups, feed them every day and night, find babysitters if I ever go out of town, and make sure their rooms are cleaned. So there for I can call them my children. They may JUST be a PET to you but they mean more than that to me.

I’m homeschooled, so I spend lots of time with my pets, I still have two so they can understand each other.
you should get them some carpet so they don’t slip as much and they can run around and do binkys!
Oh yess!
Please keep both of them. They can fall into depression if you seperate them.
Please educate yourself more, Lennon the rabbit is good bunny channel, they need alfalfa hay for the first 6 months. They also need unlimited hay
I already changed their food (:

Thank you! I will look into this (:
Instead of using pellets you could use a forage mix for their litter box! It will entice them more and you could put it in their food as well
