Important: a maintenance bulletin from Honda states that a low battery can cause crankshaft position sensor errors! I found that out after spending beaucoup dollars to replace the sensor and then having the same problem immediately.

Would this cause a no spark issue also? No lights it cranks but no start. 03 odyssey auto

My CEL and TCS lights are on but engine starts and runs at normal RPM, no limp mode. However, can't clear the codes. The wire harness for the CPS connector is covered in oil from a previous valve cover gasket leak which has been fixed. CEL and TCS lights came on after the gasket repair was done. Wondering if oil might be fouling up the connector.

I have a 2006 Honda odyssey when I press on the gas it doesn’t want to go I have the VSA, engine, D is flashing brake light on. Sometimes when the car is running the gas gauge goes to E even though it’s full. I replace the battery and replace the alternator it still didn’t help. The car keeps shutting off unless I jump it. Thats the only way it starts. should I just Junk the car?

Sounds like a bad connection at one of the ground points. Check for corrosion and/or broken wires at ground termination points. Also have a good look at the fuse panel - sometimes a leaking windshield can introduce water into the fuse panel and wreak havock on the electrical system.
