I just ran into my absolute favourite HVAC mechanic thanks for reaffirming my issue with my unit Hello from Jersey Congratulations BOSTON CELTICS new subscriber💪🏽
Having a heat wave here in Southern PA, was 98° earlier on. Somehow my old York from '99 is still hanging in there! It's on its last legs, but giving it all its got!
Congrats on 200,000 subscribers. Big milestone.
Please do a cooking video
Steve's a good guy always helping the customers save money!$ & free advice..
Go 3M Filtas (New England accent)! haha, here comes the egg showa!
At the very end it sounded like the fan was blowing in the wrong direction with the wind when you went right up to it
Nice job Steve... There is lots to know about pressures and temps filters... At least you didn't have to check for SPAHHHK. That will come in the fall...😁
who else was watching the spider getting some snacks at the 6:11 mark?? he got several more after that...

Hi to you & Miss Molly . Working again y'all.
Another happy customer. Just needed a little Dooosh.
Did the unit just need to be cleaned?
Howdy Steve and Miss Molly
Steve you ever do any work on the Kennedy compound?
Hello Steve!
Gas n Go mama!!
It's hard to find a good a/c guy.. I thought I had a good one referred by a friend but spent $400 on a check and freon then 6 months later I got the same problem.. low gas. Guy claimed it "just needed freon".
Pretty frustrated with it all.. I've just picked up a few new 12k and 14k btu window units.. pretty shocked at how well they do. It's just me at home so it'll work.
Ya i feel you there. However if systems are running perfectly like they are intended to, then they will never run out of freon. Freon isn’t something that wears out or disappears. If it was low on freon then that means you have a leak somewhere. If you have a leak then that leak will never go away. You will have to sign $400 checks to technicians until you actually ask them to find and fix the leak. But that second option is usually always more expensive than just filling her up and signing a $400 check
So all those leak stop kits are crap?
Never understood why you can't use R134A or 404A! Why did the government make us stop using R12 and R22?
Oh it's for the environment and the global warming potential. Meanwhile much of the world still uses R22. It's just a scam my opinion. They have never proven refrigerant does a damn thing to the ozone layer.
Ask Dupont about there patents ending, The Montreal Protocol R 12112 22 502 respectively cfc's gotta go, hfc's gotta go hcfs's gotta go now we have a bunch of bastard refrigerants about 60 kinds but they gotta go also, get ready for 1234Y, propane, butane, isobutane.the r600 types don't fix the leaks it can go boom, Google refrigerators going boom you're house is next. You parts changers don't care it's all about the money.
It all about the money
How low will she go, Steve
Did I heard that bullshit right? $3,000 - $4000 to replace an evaporator coil!
Most standard "A" uncased evaporator coils cost $300 - $500. Hell, Carrier Slant evaporator coils which are always overpriced only cost $700 - $900!
I had a local HVAC company try to take my grandmother for a ride to the tune of $1,200 for a new evaporator coil. I proceeded to tell them to go "F" themselves and bought an uncased Goodman "A" coil from Apline Home Air Products and fixed it for $235 while converting the system over to R424a in the process. Needless to say, the 1995 Carrier system still operates perfectly fine to this day even though she's no longer with us.
Of course, most of time the leak isn't even in the evaporator coil but rather in the liquid line due to excessive nitrogen flow when brazing hence the joint has a pin-sized hole in a joint somewhere. This is typically why the leak is slow, extremely hard to find until you're able to see oil, and why most HVAC companies refuse to even look for the leak because it's time consuming!
I guess spending $12,000+ to avoid fixing a small leak is a better investment though but it's definitely not in the best interest of the customer that for sure 🤣
Itssssssss a S. SHOW MAMA
Steve is working again!
