- One of our friends fell off a ladder working in the yard and broke 5 ribs when he landed on the leg of the ladder, he was in intensive care at the hospital for a few days so when I heard the AC went out I knew I needed to go out and look at it to help out. This is what I found. YEP this was a side job and YEP the boss knows.

I know it can be boring for you to do residential stuff, but I enjoy both. I understand residential better, and I mostly work on residential. I greatly appreciate the content you bring us. 👍🏻
It’s all good. It really depends on the customer base how good the calls go.
29 years experience. Explains your impressive troubleshooting. I started in 08'
We worked on so much Lennox over and over it got to be kind of boring after a while. We also sold carrier but nowhere near the volume Lennox.
@@HVACRSurvival Back in the 70-80's You couldn't be a Lennox dealer if you sold any other A / C brand. They were anal about it.
We were a large Lennox dealer in ohio. From what I was told we use to warehouse some of there equipment for them.
Friends don't let friends buy Lennox units.
They use to be good but they lost there way years ago.
Nice vid Rick & nice to see Ms Lora ... Thx
Nice work Rick.
10:52 😂💀
Lol yeah she liked that part too.
Home Depot special Honeywell
I started in October '95.
July for me.
To get my foot in the door, I started out driving a truck delivering ductwork to new construction homes. During down times, I worked in the sheet metal shop putting together fittings and installing soundline insulation. Within 6 months I was at another company, running installs in new construction. Within another year and a half I was running residential service. Another year of that and it was straight commercial service for me. Then on to commercial refrigeration install and service. Fitting pipe for 4 hours a day, and brazing for the other 4 makes you very good at brazing. For the last two and a half years I’ve been owning and operating a mechanical contracting company in Northwest Montana. Almost never having to get sheet metal fittings made is a major plus. Experience is king. I tell young guys, “When your company stops teaching you, the next company probably will.” It’s ridiculous to stay with a company who only teaches you enough to make them money.
I ready enjoy seeing the equipment you work on, takes me back to the old days of Commercial Service. A truck packed full of tools for the plethora of things you do. At one point I had 6 different refrigerants stocked on my van.
Wow that’s really cool to hear.
👍
dang 12 years out of a factory chinese cap, thats impressive!
True!
Good man, helping people out and getting it going. Tell Ms Lora we said hi. Hope you bring back the livestream with Steve-o and Ryan and you and Lora. It was cool.
3m has printing filters backwards for a few years now. Still to this day, I am still pulling filters out of blower wheels. Thanks 3m for keeping me busy.
Who paints these black? Trying to remove heat not create it. Nuts
always nice to know an ac guy.
I like how the hose bib and the hose attached to it is painted. Top notch job there.
That’s the dirtiest coil I have seen
It won the award for it. He claimed it was just washed out 🤔
Keep wearing that metal watch band and see what happens. No jewelry, no metal anything when I work around electricity.
I just happen to work on x-ray machines that can deliver up to 75,000 kV or even 400 V DC. Metal is not allowed in these circumstances.
My ring is rubber. I just recently switched to a metal watch band and I have been using Plastics since I was in high school so I never even thought about it until just now. Good call
I had the unfortunate call for a man that died from a heart attack while seeing what was wrong with his package A/C unit.
Leave it to professionals .
440 thumbs up
Nice, you helped someone out. I loved the dig at the end about cleaning certain things. I'd rather see the commercial and refer stuff versus resi. Stay cool.
🤣👍👍I removed a portion of what I said, it was offensive 😄
Was the capacitor wet? lol
Yep, it’s not a beauty salon where I’m working. They get wet all the time and are just fine. I only worry about control boards and certain motors and coils.
When I started in this business I did residential new construction. We installed Lennox. The board on the 80mgf was a common failure.
83m00 for the longest time. I know it got high priced because it replaced several boards I believe. I've been away from Lennox for 10 years now.
The old 90340. Remember them on the fan centers those and the clock spring coil for the heat delay and high limit. Then they got fancy and put a little time delay circuit board on the 90340.
Are used to carry four of those insert limits with heated Time fan start. I could about build a furnace with what I carried on my truck.
Lol I won't tell, You're in trouble pooch!
Great content and a good friend!
😁
Rick, Thanks for sharing your experience with the work you are doing !
if it's a fairly new garage door opener, many you can just hit the keypad enter button and it will close if open. no having to jump over the beams, nor enter the code to close.
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Good video brother! We got to keep helping other folks. You a good man.
I can't stop watching your posts!! Great information
Awesome! Thank you!
Great work rick 👍✌️
Thanks 👍
Nice of you to help out a friend. You mentioned off-roading in s previous video. I'm guessing his ribs were related to those activities. (I used to ride dirt bikes extensively.)
No, the offloading was me. He fell off a ladder while working on pulling some wires.
@@HVACRSurvival ouch
I'm 59 and still racing dirt bikes.
Great job, Rick!
Thanks Steveo!!!
Not a Jeep or truck person. I like smaller Euro cars. That said, your spec on that truck is super-cool! Is it a stick-shift? You give me manual transmission vibes. Either way, it’s awesome.
Love your channel, your beautiful wife, thanks for sharing such amazing content.
8 speed automatic but I have had manual transmission trucks, I prefer automatic when you’re gonna do off-road so that I don’t have to mess with the clutch and watch where I’m going at the same time. Otherwise, if it was a sports car, sure I’d like to have at least a 5 to 6 speed. I let her know what you said, she said thank you!
Great job Rick. I know how it is to help a friend on hvac problems lol.
Thanks for video. 😊👍👌🍀🙌🍺
Good video Rick, helping out friends in need.
👍💪❄️🇺🇸🙏
Good job Rick.......
Hi Rick great video, that video title is so funny😂😂😂! That Lennox unit was dirthy! By me was so hot that a magnitute 6.2 earthquake woke up the whole of trinidad where I live 12AM in the morning
WoW!
@@HVACRSurvival it had 20 aftershocks
So you half assed it blows all the time
@lewistodd4458 are you a special kind of stupid or do you just not know how to watch a video? I love people like you🤣🤣✌️you keep me in business.
You just need a better water spray nozzle for the hose.
That was their hose and nozzle.😅
@ 6:08 😂😂😂
The humor was being put on thick😂
👍
