Braden and Fletcher are going to have come out and prove themselves again and lead this team. We'll see a much more uptempo and aggressive Braden and Fletcher as well and with TKR we have 3 solid scoring threats add in Heidi and Colvin and they'll be tough to beat.
@@derekmiller3401 I think he takes a lot of heat for things other players get a pass on. He was cooking at the Tatum elite forward camp against the best in the country. This year's team will be reliant on his production and all the stuff about his physical appearance is really dumb imo. He's been the man in big games and is the one player other coaches fear as he can drop points in a hurry. Not to mention Braden and Fletcher get clobbered going to the rim constantly and rarely get the and one or even a call. The presence of Edey allowed teams to be overly physical with our entire team. First play against Uconn Fletcher went down and drove to the rim and he got leveled, no call, and it set the tone the entire game as Edey was getting hacked every time he tried to dribble especially by Castle and Spencer.
@@bradprather823 why is it that Braden could finish at the rim but Loyer couldn’t? And hell Smith is smaller. Not saying they don’t get fouled hell most guards do. Now Loyer gets a lot of heat and rightfully so. Now due to no fault of his own there was no one in front of him when he came to Purdue. But now there is Myles last yr who didn’t get the same chance that Loyer got. Myles was relegated to the bench because he needed to improve….and Loyer doesn’t need to improve???
With Paint having 2 7-3 options and TKR what makes you think anything really changes? If Jacobsen and Berg can catch passes Purdue will be dominant. The shooting is there. Smith will record 3+ triple doubles
Painter and Waddell are going to have some competition for least athletic backcourt in Purdue history now that the Big man isnt making space for Loyer and Smith.
Yep, PJ Thompson, Dakota Mathias, and Ryan Cline were super athletic on that team that was top 5 all year. The only athletic guard was Carsen, and Colvin is another level of athlete over him. Smith is a few levels above PJ. Loyer is levels over Cline and still more athletic than Mathias.
Loyer’s gotta be the most disrespected guy to ever start every game on back-to-back 1-seeds as an underclassmen guard. And he’s been the third option averaging double figures not a corner specialist. Especially in 2024 when I think the only underclassman stating guard Purdue played on a not bad team all year was Castle. Every other team is running lineups of 23 year old guards until this rule ends. I like Harris/Cox, but Loyer is starting every game he’s not injured for 4 straight years.
@@JW21435 So because he’s started every game he doesn’t deserve criticism?? Make that make sense Loyer was the 3rd option his FR yr and the 4th option last yr behind Jones. You are also saying to keep more talented/better players on the bench so Loyer can start?? Gotcha

Nice grammar. You clearly have an agenda. Comical.
Playing against 5 nba guys. Fletch isn’t elite but he’s pretty good
People forget that Shannon and Ty Rogers were 2-17 against UConn. 😊

Loyer is THE most overrated player ever.

Yeah but how many times has Smith/Edey saved Loyer. Harris/Cox are better than Loyer.
