Sadly a lot of current purdue students have only been around the last few years when we’ve been a top 5 team and they dont know how to take criticism. I’m also 100% with Greg on the Dawson Baker situation. Bro just isn’t that guy he’s a barely better version of knell at best. Personally, especially with Dallin coming back soon, I’m not sure how much of the rotation he should see. The don’t need him as another ball handler/playmaker behind Egor and Dallin and this team needs the best version of Canon Catchings much more than another corner shooter floor spacer. Canon could be the best 2 way player in the Big 12 with some intentional development imo

The cupcake games I think were for Kevin Young as a strategic move. I think this period of the schedule is just sole coaching system prep getting ready for the Big 12 gauntlet. Figuring out lineups and subbing patterns and which schemes work at the college level.

Love your Videos, Watch A lot of your content Purdue or Not. Being a Purdue fan for 25 years, I feel like i need to apologize for some of these fans that need to understand its just a game. Purdue fan, Sleepers is the only pod I tune into these days. Even when I have a different perspective than you I love the content you put out. Most of your critiques about Purdue these last months have been very valid. I feel like there’s a lot of new people in the Purdue fanbase who haven’t been around since before Purdue was this good who just don’t know how to act when their team has cracks yet. I’m sorry you’ve had a negative experience with our fans. Keep up the good work! And for what it’s worth you two are so entertaining that I have a hard time tuning into the videos when either of you aren’t in it, so I hope you return to being in Purdue videos soon Greg.

As a lifelong Purdue fan, college student, and college basketball coach, I have agreed and disagreed with a lot of your takes on Purdue in the 10 months or so since I've started watching the channel. Never once has anything you've said made me think any less of you as a content creator. I have much less respect for the creators that only ever espouse one viewpoint about a team, whether positive or negative, because they clearly don't have the capacity for independent thought to realize that not everything about something is 100% good or 100% bad. I also have respect for the fact that you will give your honest opinion even when you feel it is unpopular. I don't know what happened exactly on Twitter but there are bad apples in every fan base. I'm still in the belief that Purdue has one of the more respectful fan bases out there though, and I would assume that 95% of Purdue fans that watch your channel regularly do respect your takes and videos as they are

I just watched y’all’s video on Purdue and watched until the end as a MSU fan/student solely because I enjoy listening to yall talk about basketball. As a a Illinois fan, we don't always agree. And I've dislike ohio state and michigan over the years. But do enjoy the content you do and hope you keep it up! Great recap! Totally agree. Willard’s roster construction has been puzzling me the last 2 years. This def feels like a 10 seed at this point in the season smh But the X factor is def Rodney rice. What do you expect when you dog the program in nearly every video for 6 months? Even when you have said positive things you trump that with negativity and said on multiple videos that you have been super negative on Purdue. You constantly said how Painter is wrong and you have been acting like you know Purdue’s roster and how they should be coached better than Painter does is what I strongly disagree with. You aren’t giving your opinion you constantly on every video talk about Painter not playing the right guys and he should be doing this or that like it’s a fact everyone should know and Painter just doesn’t know what he is doing. When you are constantly negative you should expect negativity back.

Yo I don’t even know what happened but please don’t stop covering Purdue. There is slim to none good college ball coverage out there especially for Purdue. I always look for your videos after Purdue games. You do a better job than the few local pods that are strictly Purdue. Most of them are impossible to listen to for longer than30 seconds. I don’t even know where I would get my content if it wasn’t for this and listening to lisp boy field of 68. Y’all are good and clearly know ball. Also I appreciate hearing thoughts from guys that aren’t Purdue homers. If this is all about you thinking Bama would beat us then ur haters are a bunch of losers. Every Purdue fan I know thought bama was going to clean our clock. I personally would have bet the house if it wasn’t such a conflict of interest. My only issue with the Yale recap was the complaint of painter not working the portal with the hindsight of knowing Jacobsen was out the season with injury and knowing catchings left all after the portal closed. Seemed like an odd complaint. Seems odd to let this tweet let you get so upset. Even though I assume building up a think skin to this kind of criticism is difficult. Most other UA-camrs I watch talk about how they never read comments. Comment section can be the worst, especially on X.

I started following during the tournament run last year and couldn’t believe the actual basketball takes looking past Edey and everything else the national media was covering about us. Yall talked about our entire programs basketball when nobody else would. You deserve all the good things coming and I’ll continue to support you as long as you put out amazing unbiased content. Another Purdue grad here, been listening for quite a while now. Love your content, and respect your hard work, even if I think you’re both knuckleheads sometimes. I know you’re not Purdue fans, but I’ve NEVER felt like you guys are rooting against Purdue. I appreciate that you guys are pumping out Purdue content that’s not biased, even when it’s not an opinion I agree with. I think there’s a tension between the hot take/media grind/win-now perspective and the #immatrustpaint attitude in the fan base that Painter has rightfully earned over the past 10 years.

Hey Greg, please don't put too much weight on one Purdue fan's criticism of your opinion on where Purdue might struggle. I've been a Purdue basketball fan since 1988. I didn't have any issues with any negative comments you have made about Purdue's roster this year because NOBODY really knows what any team has until meaningful regular season games are played (Creighton doesn't count). I loved your coverage of the Purdue road game at Illinois last year (even though most of the coverage was in support of the Illini's fanbase). Keep up the great work!

CJ will give Braden a chance to rest more this year. Preseason, everyone said Braden needed to play all 40, but that’s not sustainable. CJ running the point for quality minutes means that Braden will be fresher for the postseason.

I will be honest, I waited for the episode with bated breath. 😂 But I love the self reflection and the honesty that you guys speak with. I believe you are going too far with this Purdue team, but they have made me believe in them. They are a fun team to watch and like the past several years, they make it impossible to watch other teams, even the good teams, because the Purdue way is so much more enjoyable to watch. Paint is great even when he makes “mistakes”. He does more with less than anyone else. Losing Jacobson hurt but it is next man up! Boiler Up!

Fears - Defense & assists Holloman - Assisting & 3 point threat and has more experience than Jase right now Akins - All around & most experienced Carr - As you mention has to pair with Kohler but his slams are such a confidence booster for the team Kohler - Might be our best player, can also shoot I like that starting 5, obviously matchup-wise might need to play around but that’s what I like

Just speaking candidly as a Purdue grad that has found myself listening to less of you guys since the end of last season, it's felt like since mid-summer you guys have found ways to turn every bit of Purdue news into a potential negative. Whether it was them not trying to keep Gillis around, not taking a transfer, Colvin and Heide not starting, or them trying to find a playable center, it's all been spun negatively from you guys. And I get that you're trying to discuss all angles of those things for the sake of videos and content but that's also where it starts to blur just a bit into internet hot take territory instead of guys who really understand Paint and the program. Just my 2 cents. Appreciate all your hard work.

Man please don’t let the vocal minority represent the fan base as a whole. I look forward to your guys’ content all week- best CBB podcast in the business by far.
