Emperor scorpions in real life are actually well known for having some pretty weak venom because their claws are large enough for them to just crush their prey instead of bothering with stinging them.
My guess is that they're one of the most recognizable species of scorpion out there, so that's what they went with. Still even though its venom is weak (unless you're unfortunate enough to be allergic to the venom), the thought of eating a live scorpion (without even roasting it first on an open fire) *can't* be appealing to everyone.
They're big in the pet trade (well, as big as a scorpion is gonna get, sane people don't have pets with exoskeletons) for that reason and because they're very chill and docile. It's weird to see them talked about being dangerous to someone like Snake lol... Fun fact: the radscorpions in Fallout are mutated escaped pet emperor scorpions. Similarly, deathclaws are mutated Jackson's chameleons, which are also the result of escaped pets.
Castlevania Wall Meat: Somehow restores your health rather than severely poison you considering it’s not only originally from a wall; but a wall inside a cursed castle ruled by Dracula.
Fun Fact: Vampire Dust in Skyrim also turns you into a Vampire if you eat it I did that once by mistake when trying to drop some and my character became one.

Considering the Mold seems to have some accelerated healing properties (looking at you Ethan Winters!), I imagine any damage the parasites could do are neutralized within.
I have actually had cactus ice cream, though of course, it was made from the cactus fruit, not the whole cactus, and there were no thorns. Quite delicious!
There's also: Trial Stew & Dangerous Delight from the second & third Paper Mario games, Superspicy Curry from Kirby's Dream Land, and various Berries from the mainline Pokémon games, which can have super-strong spicy, sour, bitter, dry, or sweet flavor. By the way, when Remleiz said "bones" at 47:45, the bone counter in parentheses at the bottom of the screen changed instantly.
The Pokemon berries you and/or your Pokemon can eat with no problems though. We're more focusing on stuff that's obviously not fit for consumption (even if you do have the option to eat it).

Monster Meat is best for the Crock Pot as a meat ingredient for many foods you can make with it. It's easy to obtain, can be essentially gotten unintentionally, and it can be used for other things However, said "other things" are most likely only in the Together version, but I think some people have backported DST content to Base Don't Starve

At least tako nigiri is made of fresh tentacles in real life though. Heaven knows what the ones in Starbound have been through before you find/buy it, let alone consume it!

A Giant's Toe, a coin, some Vampire Dust, that weird root that contains the poison for the soup... Needless to say, that was the funniest quest in the whole game for me.
