Darksiders 2 is a game that comes around once maybe twice in a lifetime. What an amazing game! What a beautiful soundtrack to an amazing game. I'm in awe.
Jesper has an ability to make a music shape your gaming experience. It's a lost art and I wish more composers would have it. I remember all the SNES songs from Super Metroid, and it really took you into another planet.
Also Kieth Zizza, and Jeff Van Dyck, rod Abernathy, and Peter Copeland should get some credit too. Van Dyck work on emperor rise of the middle kingdom was solid ambience.
Just started playing 'Darksiders 2', heard this track and thought "Wow, this is really good, and nothing from the first game was as memorable as this". Then I discovered that it was by Jesper Kyd - the same guy who composed the amazing musical scores for the Assassins Creed games up to ACIII (co-composing Revelations) - and thought "Ah, that explains why it's so good then".
@@Tom-ml5sj 29 isn't old enough? and no i found this dipshit video on his channel for a laugh, hey pencil-neck who talked to to you anyway? no women does that's for sure LMAO NEXT?
What emotion. There's something somber and deep in this music. The middle part at around 1:26 also gives off a feeling of death. Like passing on to another world which itself is expressed at around 1:55. I love the depth this music has.
Aryan Khan In between. The memory came back as I read this, but it wasn’t a powerful one. I remember posting this a few months before release when this was a preview sample of the rest of the soundtrack. Still my favorite DarkSiders game.
vgman94 I remember being little and getting an Xbox 360 included with four games, this game was one of them along with Batman Arkham city, I played this game and as a kid took me a while along with UA-cam for help, I recently played it again a few months ago and the nostalgia washed over me, I finished it much faster than before because of quarantine, but man this game is my favorite game I have ever played
I love how every new soundtrack from Jesper Kyd feels completely different from every other of his work. There are no "Assassin's creed" bits and pieces in this one!
I felt Into Eternity had a bit of an Assassin's Creed vibe, I felt that and googled and sure enough this game's music was by Jesper Kyd, at this point I'll play any game simply if it turns out he's making music for it.
Been replaying this game lately and still gobsmacked at how great it is to play, the sense of adventure, the cracking dialogue and of course the awe-inspiring soundtrack.
Too bad the game turned so sinister and dark after the first few levels. The water temple and the makers world was absolutely amazing. After that it was mainly the underworld, skeletons and other demons with a dark soundtrack.
Darksiders 2 has to be one of the most underrated games ever. The amount of epicness there is just unreal. From music, to characters, environment, visual design, story, voice acting, gameplay, amazing cutscenes etc. Its the only game in which even a door opening is so cool.
Excellent interpretation, and it fits. Especially in the scene where a Warden uses a "Song" to rebuild a bridge into the dungeon that hols the Guardian.
I love this sound track and this game, I still have yet to beat it on my ps3 or ps4 or hell even my switch but I love this game and wish I could still play it with my dad
I have to say, i was entranced by the soundtrack and the setting of the makers world and the nordic mythological theming and influences. To the point that even when i play a different game which has some of this norse ruins and fiords in its setting i often reach for this soundtrack.
Whilst I'm not usually a huge fan of Jespers work (as I feel he makes excellent ambient music, rather than iconic themes), but this is... so god damn beautiful.
Why?? Jesper's music is soooo magestic! Oh well I guss not everyone feels the same. Don't worry, I'm sure Jesper Kyd will make more amazing music in the future :)
I think this music is the balance between the peaceful and its counter part..because the game has two main "philosophies" : The good and evil (also the water/fire...the skill trees perharps..life and death...) and the number 3 (tri stone, the three stones for the guardian, three stones for the gilded arena..3 souls for the judicator..) and this music focus more on the dual philosophy.
ahh well that's sad :/ oh well let's just wait and see how it turns out, I hope the soundtrack is good and doesnt have too repetitive tracks, like in ACR where he used the same theme on almost every of his songs
This Game Has Taught Me Many Things But The Most Important Is
"This is no place for a horse"
+N.C.R Ranger I was all deep for a second and then processed to laugh my arse off
well done
sir
The Ottoman Empire "The tree of life is not where the journey ends, but where it begins"
That's right. You have to go alone.
Are all places not meant for a horse?
The Ottoman Empire and I have to go alone
And
Dust what do you see
It's time you find something
Show me the way

Best soundtrack in the entire GAME, I used to visit Forge Lands just to hear this music played
same here
"Oh, it's you Horseman!" -Alya
"Hmm" - Valus
I can't belive i read that in her voice after more than 8 years of not playing the game
This is certainly the best song i have ever heard in my life!
same here
Same!
Tier 1 glad to see someone came back here after all these years
Beautiful soundtrack.
like you
thank you

mean " beautiful " lol :)

Hi 8 year old comment, just wanted to bring you back after all these years
Aryan Khan Thank you. I miss these days. It was a different world. Still a dark one for me, but simpler than now.
vgman94 yeah, I imagine you completely forgot about writing this comment, or does the memory still stand out to you

i agree !
+ameya595 And no Hitman either.
Hitman, one of his finer works

There are defo elements of AC2 here.
This track brings tears to my eyes... Every time...😢

same bro, i just started playing this game and this tune makes me tear up every time
@@raizel5982 yes man, brings back a lot of memories of the past, of when times were simpler and kinder
This tune always sounded like a love theme to me. There's so much serenity and kindness in it.
Jesper Kyd did one of amazing jobs for soundtracks, after all these years i come only to listen to these since they really get in my life 😢
I can see why this video has got no dislikes, the soundtrack is amazing to listen to, day or night, it's timeless!
Nostalgia
6 years later, more nostalgia
IKR!
That is the most greatest song I've ever heard.
*"A dish!? You want me to bring you a dish!?"*
I Love Jesper's work on Assassin's Creed and I was thrilled when I found out he was the one behind the music of Darksiders 2.
Jesper you were, is and always will be a genius...been listening to your game soundtracks for a very long time.
This song... Hope, Hero, life, darknness and power.. That is song
Ac2 ost's are the ones I still listen to... Jesper's work is awesome and I can see the awesomeness here as well.
My first game for console.
Love AC music, and then I hear this.....and now i realise is a Jesper Kyd song....that guy is my idol right now
So peaceful music yet so dark in that world... Love this theme!
Been replaying this game lately and still gobsmacked at how great it is to play, the sense of adventure, the cracking dialogue and of course the awe-inspiring soundtrack.
This theme was a great surprise for me. Excellent.

it is called DARKsiders :)
frblaze2 Dammit, ive should have seen that one coming :P
Still the best game I've done in the 7th generation
Well there's the Guardian theme pure motivation if you are feeling down listen to it to get the spirits up.
every song in this game is good

Jesper kyd is a genius!!!
I would LIVE for a remaster of this game.
Oh! It was such a long journey for a game from 2012 ... So many quests, so many weapons, armors to collect..

3:35 cuando muere el acedor 💔, esta canción quedaría bien en minecraft no se si te das cuenta jaja
Voice of heaven
I love this music as it gave the game that fantasy feel to it
Excellent interpretation, and it fits. Especially in the scene where a Warden uses a "Song" to rebuild a bridge into the dungeon that hols the Guardian.
This song is so peacefully it brings a tear to my eye. I wish the makers map was bigger, it always felt too small
You are a GENIUS Friend, God bless You!
Agree, Jesper is something else.
I'll glad he is allowed to post the music he makes.
Jesper Kyd always does amazing music between darksiders 2 and the assassins creed series is the best!
0:49, imagine: This is no place for a horse, I have to go alone....
1:00-1:19 best part, 1:15 climax.

Love the Irish/Celtic influences :D Top track from Mr.Kyd! :D
Trully amazing! You always know how to create the mood with your amazing music =)
I'm getting Skellige vibes from this, if Skellige had bright sunlight and open meadows...

Nice to hear an awesome fantasy theme after such a long time again.
It fits the mood in Darksiders perfectly. Can't wait to enjoy the result :)
Jesper Kyd is why this game was so fun to play :P
-hahaha, and what makes you think i have a soul?

Pefect game , perfect music
WHEN you CAN FEEL
the FLESH ... GET WEAKER and ROTTEN
BUT the SOUL get STRONGER and STRONGER
I like this song
"I HAVE TO GO ALONE"
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ÓDIO
Эта музыка реально успокаивает. Я сижу на туалете, уже час меня терзает ужасная боль, но эта музыка помогает мне делать новый вдох кислорода.
I love this theme.
i love this game so much and this is my favourite song...THUMBS UP FOR DARKSIDERS
Much love bro, you give my favs

There is something scottish about this music
The bagpipe ?
I don't hear it
Just celtic.
Actually the tin whistle early in the song (I think that is the instrument). The second flute is a concert flute, I believe.
I wish i could find a music sheet of that beautiful piece
amazing
mt boa essa melodia
Yeah if you like really focus hearing this song you would think of an after-life glimpse or something at around 1:55, love that sound
I hear alot Assassins Creed influences. Glad he's found his style.
immortal game darksiders series 🥲❤️🔥⚔️💫🌹
Cool
I think this music is the balance between the peaceful and its counter part..because the game has two main "philosophies" : The good and evil (also the water/fire...the skill trees perharps..life and death...) and the number 3 (tri stone, the three stones for the guardian, three stones for the gilded arena..3 souls for the judicator..) and this music focus more on the dual philosophy.
Yeah, I’ve noticed that in the game too

What’s the instrument that starts at 1:54?
Lorne said he is working on it alone on his twitter. Sad really...
Vigil still exist. THQ are the ones who got bankrupt. Lets just hope Santa Monica buys Darksiders or Platinum Games.
Can someone tell me what the song is for Ivory Citadel? I'm looking all over..
Six people are in need of a Makers Key, because they obviously have no soul.
Don't like the game so far but this is beautiful.
i don't know why, but at some parts, the instrumentalization reminds me of Assassin's Creed 2...
