As a 5'5 point guard, I can confirm I am an excellent center with these moves, thanks Coach Frikki!
haha nice
Pinoy?
5'5 SG here, and my mates would put me at center when we play pickup
@@cuckooreloaded are they all shorter or not
@@mikhailavanesov5912 the forehead of the second tallest guy in my team is the same height as my bottom lip
a Jalen Brunson breakdown would be fantastic. His footwork and iq is amazing
frr
Gene pfp = no
how about you give us a gene breakdown
i don’t know what i’d do without this channel. The amount of free game you’ve put us on is crazy. Thanks coach
Back down should at least be high A. For the rest of the moves to work, there needs to be the threat of backing the defender down. It’s the basis of post moves. Besides that great video
I disagree, the main reason the rest of the moves work is because a closer shot is higher percentage.
@@mobilegmer how can you disagree but say the exact same thing as he did.
Sky hook is really really hard to guard and its really useful if you are a center. if you master it, you can make urself one of the top scorers on ur team. It is worth training for if u are tall and looking for a move to score with
coach you a real one ! all this knowledge for free is crazy. i watch ya vids before runs and i can feel myself improvin every game. thank you truly, man
My coach runs me at Center and PF despite my shorter height (5'10) so this will be helpful. Thanks 🙏🏿
The face up is good when you are in the high post and a middle defender is guarding you. You can then do a triple thread and pass/shoot/penetrate
and if you are tall
I love the hard work and dedication he puts into his videos, thanks frikki!❤
Thanks as always coach ! Appreciate it ! 🙌
I loved the pass out of the post being added, great video as always brother!
Thanks coach frikki to all moves that you teach ,, I hope you upload more videos to help us in basketball,, godbless to you coach frikki❤😊😊
thank you so much coach i really enjoy these videos!
Love your content, God bless ❤️🙏🏿💪🏿
Your work is fantastic
Just what I needed, thanks coach
Hey Coach, could you add pros and cons to the moves next time please?
It is not about pros and cons, it`s about in what situation to use particular move!
@@user-su8yj8so4i
Kinda semantics.
When to use it (pros) vs when not to use it (cons)
The post moves is such an underrated skill in todays basketball. Kids nowadays wants to take a hundred dribbles trying to break somebodys ankle
Not for Luka Doncic
I think difficulty of mastering it should not be a negative aspect
If anything fadeaway should be S tier when you master it
Half court shots should be s tier too then
@@isaakvanwegen2784 ofc it is a postmove afterall 🤡
@@sherlock4791 Don't listen to those casuals yo. Jordan used those moves with great success. Kobe too. T-Mac too. Kyrie too. Lebron uses them. Great move. Most people that comment on here aren't athletic enough to do the fade
@@QankoIvanov Jordan lived in the post the second half of his career.
Even for the best players in the world it’s a low percentage shot. Why choose to waste a play on a shot that’s unlikely to go in when there are other looks? There’s a reason why Kareem’s sky hook and Jordan and dirk’s fadeaways stand out above any other. Nobody else could get it to work like that. Seems silly to cite the one of the greatest ever had success with it so it must be good.
Such a great video❤❤
Love all the big man content recently!
This video helps me a lot, thanks coach 👍
Thank you coach!
Thank you frikki! I have been using these moves at practices and tryouts and that’s why I am in the AAU league for ohio. And as a tall guard it really helps with this video
Love this vid!!!
im a solid subscriber since you have few sub's coach, much love from Philippines 🇵🇭
Great vid ones again
I've been waiting forever in a day for this video
Need this fr ty
Would be nice to share the pros and cons of each move like the last video
I think a fade away really depends on your shooting touch.
It would problably work best with people like Carmelo Anthony who has a very smooth jumper.
And if you're a bit undersized too, since you might have trouble if you don't make seperation if you're a bit shorter.
Great video as always, will be trying out these moves👍
Reminds me of post scorers I’ve made over the years in 2K. This video is legit.
Yessir its basketball season again!!!!
Keep up the good work!
Best coach ever you elevate my game every video. Keep it up please. We are blessed to have you 😊
More post move videos‼️
thanks coach
perfect video bro
Thank you
Again very cool video!
keep making these grading vids!!
Thx coach
Excellent video, as always! There is no release in this channel I don't watch asap. But in this one I couldn't quite get the difference between the quick spin and the shoulder spin, could you explain a bit?
Thanks. The difference is that one is off the dribble and one is off holding the ball.
Thanks man
Good song choice
really good ranked
Can you do driving tips for undersized/less stronger players?
Can you do pro’s and con’s of the post moves
Could you breakdown kyrie handles , like body movement , ball handling , etc...
Coach Frikki really be plugging us
Bam adebayo did the dribble spin and brok Jalen browns ankles in game 4, good stuff
Yeah Bam did it perfectly
Hey could you pls do a video on best moves to use when you get cut off and bumped off dribble
Coach frikki could you ranked best ankle breaker moves?
Super useful video! But how does a drop step differ from a shoulder spin through?
In a drop step, you are going towards the basket and getting under the defender. In a shoulder spin, you’re not always moving towards the basket and the defender is still next to you.
clean
More Vid's. Coach 🏀
What this ranking actually does is say that moves that depend on the defense completly giving you one side and/or sleeping are better than moves needed against a reactive defense. Got to agree that passing should be option 1 tho
I absolutely disagree with passing being number one. The post is one of the best places to get high percentage looks. Passing should only be used once you have drawn a double team, not as your first look. If you aren't a threat to score in the post, then you won't get good openings on your passes.
not putting a single Melo clip on Face up presentation is crazy bro!
Whats the difference between the shoulder spin and quick spin they look the same to me
There something about watching basketball in slow motion . Art
could you use dj quads - it’s near again in your newer videos?
Are the drop step and quick spin not just the same thing?
I don't understand the hook shot in C. You don't have to do it from half the paint, and it you practice it with the backboard, it's easy to mastering it. I maybe said this beacause it's my go to move, but I think it deserve a better rank. Btw great video
🫡🫡🫡很讚的影片
The 1st ever time I watch it so early
Sup from Russia
Dribbling tips too
I mastered these
Nice song choice. Avatar theme.
Jump hook the goat move
disrespecting skyhook is crazy
jump hook is an easy S-tier. the problem is that a lot of people do it wrong. if you actually shoot the hook shot over your shoulder instead of facing up to do it, they defender has little chance of blocking, even if they are a lot taller.
Step through……🔥🔥
How important is it to have a Post move bag as a guard ?
In my personal opinion the step through should be higher. Broken move, forces your defender actually never leave their feet or risk a wide open layup. It's a great mix up and usually if it doesn't work fully you can still draw a foul with it
nice
Plz make this kind a vid on dribbling moves
Post fades are the most beautiful moves in basketball
rebounding video next!
Defense strategy tier list (pros and cons)
Good interpretive breakdown. The only gripe is the fadeaway ranked so low, yet arguably the best players in the league to ever play the game use it as their primary attack. So that means the post is not for just "bigs"
Is it possible to make defense moves tier list
skyhook is my go to
I commonly used drop step jump hook and pass. You didn't mention how to position yourself and how to get the pass. Most players nowadays receive passes too high in the post.
As a 5,2 centre I can confirm that I’m now a baby shaq with these moves
I whish if you can make an ultimate guide about fade away
I've often heard the step through called the up-and-under.
What’s the difference between the drop step and shoulder spin? Quite similar to me.
For the drop step you wrap your leg around the defender but for the quick spin you just turn your body and go
I would say Sky Hook and Fadeaway is the skill whenever you want to use its so hard to master and impossible to gurad.
When you master it, they are the S++ skills
What’s the difference between the drop step and a one dribble spin? just the amount of dribbles?
Drop step is back to the basket. One dribble spin faces up before spinning.
Isnt shoulder spin and dropstep and one dribble spin more or less the same
Next vid: how to block shots ? Chase down block? Or have a defensive play post moves
a video on off ball movement would be great otherwise, great video like the usual.
Already did one: ua-cam.com/video/9SBvptJM258/v-deo.html
What's the difference between a drop step and a quick spin? They look darn near identical.
The jump/sky hooks are pretty much unblockable, it's gotta be higher
bruh, it's hard to make it
@@eonji_ train it harder
@@lessssssgooooo yeah
the jump hook is my favorite move to use. Its basically unblockable espically if your tall and if you have good touch its really effective.
I agree the jump hook is A tier especially if you can shoot it with either hand 😏🔥
And the shoulder spin is basically a drop step with a more delayed dribble ...
Great observation - also with a shoulder to shoulder hook contact.
So my go-to moves are b-tier. Great
4:31 that's my school's gym haha
Jumphooks are S tier. Unstoppable if youre good at them
What is the name of music
step though should be higher up, if you use it effectively it's a free throw magnet
I don't understand the order of these moves. Are moves in A supposed to be better than those in the other categories? If so, why?
The higher (and more to the left) the more effective and efficient the moves are. In my opinion.
