The distinctive bulk of Cerro Pero rises sharply on the edge of Paraguari.
The hill guards the northern entrance to the town and is viable for miles around.
A large flat expanse forms it's summit and from there views extend over the Paraguayan countryside in every direction.
On the highest point of the hill stands a small shrine and a tall cross.
