    Thank you for your videos. I am a math-science person, history has actually always been a struggle for me. But I watched your videos took notes and reviewed specifics that didn’t stick, like names and specific key points. I love that your lessons told a story and I think that’s why so much of it stuck. I passed - God is so good and you sir are a blessing.

    Came back to say thank you so much for these videos. I passed all of my subjects except for social studies (scored a 232). I watched your videos, took the test and scored a 270. You turned this excessive amount of information into digestible content. I appreciate it!

      @@susanasustaita4758 In the description of most (maybe all) of the videos, you should be able to find a link to a study course at Udemy.com. The link will take you directly to the course. That course has the pdf study guides, the quizzes, and the practice tests. It's also easier to watch the videos in that course than on UA-cam.

    I am so thankful I found your videos. I was really struggling with Social Studies on all of the practice tests. Your videos are well organized and concise. I took notes on everything you wrote on the board and read over those. I passed the 391 and did really well on the Social Studies section. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    Do you offer some guidance on social studies 7-12 or can you send me to that direction. I took it 3 times and instead of getting better I got worse.

    • @TeachWriteLearn

      I'm not sure what the secondary (7-12) resources are. My videos cover a lot it, the foundational stuff. But 7-12 content gets more in-depth than EC6 content. It would take time, but you could do a side-by-side comparison of the TEKS for EC6 and 7-12.
      For example, you would look at, say, economics TEKS for grades 4-5 and compare those with secondary econ TEKS. You would note what extra concepts are covered in 7-12. You could watch my videos for the more basic stuff. But then you'd have to find resources for the more in-depth stuff. There are lots and lots of content resources available on UA-cam, so you'd probably find what you need. But you'd have to do that for each topic (history, geography, etc.). Your preparation would be thorough, but it would also be time-intensive.
      I'm sorry I'm not able to point you to any particular study guides or materials for 7-12 content. That's housed within majors, so I don't have extra resources for it. I wish you good luck, though.

      I found your study guide on udemy and will take that class. It looks good! Whenever you get a chance, can you answer me this question that was on the exam? Why did Santa anna attack the Alamo even though it didn't really pose a threat? What were the effects? I really love history!

    • @TeachWriteLearn
      @TeachWriteLearn  3 роки тому

      @@historicaljolidda1497 I think I cover this in one of the Texas history videos, but I can answer it here too. Basically, Santa Ana wanted to make a point. He wanted to punish the Texans, to make an example of them. His plan didn't work as intended, since the Texans used the defeat at the Alamo and the massacre at Goliad as a rallying cry during the next battle, San Jacinto, which, of course, they won and Santa Ana lost.
