The issue with 291 is that you have to answer the questions within seconds, not minutes, so you can't write it out like in this video. The real trick is knowing how to find the right answer without actually doing the math. Fast tricks to finding the answers would have been much more helpful.
It obviously won't take nearly as long to answer the questions if you are not trying to explain it to someone else step by step. If you'd like more practice, we have an excellent study guide on our website at www.mometrix.com/studyguides/texes.
which is really stupid, like dude we are learning to do this, and they expect us to do this before we even get a chance to read and analyze -.- great system
@@cristianaligarcia LOL we need to use tricks to take a test and teach kids, but god forbid we show tricks to students in math and avoid the whole problem solving steps.
I appreciate you going through these problems but the questions are much much harder on the ex-6

I took the core subjects exam. The math section was definitely the most stressful part. You only get 1 hour to answer more than 40 questions. Plus, no calculators are allowed.
How did you do Julian, I didi not pass the math portion of the exam. I need help.

Why are these math problems so easy?
It's EC-6. Not very hard math going on in those grades in most places since math is mixed into the classroom usually through at least 4th grade if not 5th. 5th and 6th are the first grades they even get to actually spend time seriously on math.
That is one of the perks of elementary teaching. The material is very easy and common sense. The difficult part of the job is taking care of the students and entertaining them.

I took it and I can tell you it is not this easy as these problems but this is a good start explaining it.
