Maritza, I completely understand. I have taken three times and failed. The last two times by only one question. I have been teaching since 2000 and moved from Colorado. Because I have not passed this last component, I was terminated and did not receive a contract for next year. I have studied so hard and completed the 240 tests with an average of 95%
Can you make one for the fine arts part of the EC-6 TExES?

FYI when you are talking about Columbian exchange it shows 1492 but the speaker says 1842.

This video was helpful that 240 itself. I did 240 and failed. What I studied in 240 was not what I saw on my test. I am now using alternative resources.
The same happened for me, if you don’t mind me asking what alternative resource did you use?

Hello guys my wife is in the same boat . She studied the 240 but tells me that nothing that she studied was on the test. Can you help me out with naming some additional resources available to the social studies portion please. 🙏
The information that was stated in this video is well done.. However, when you gave examples of the test along with answers it went to fast to process.
Unfortunately, I’ve used 240 Tutoring every time to prepare for the Social Studies portion of this exam and while it helped me pass all the other subjects, I STILL cannot pass this portion of the exam. It’s honestly so disheartening because I LOVE teaching and I have a HUGE passion for it and for my students! The fact that I CANNOT pass this portion after 3 tries already and only have 4 more months to pass this and the PPR and STR... it’s devastating. All of this hard work and passed all the other subjects on the first try... and still have not passed this portion. Prayers needed 😔🙏🏼

It’s cuz the shit that they tell you to study isn’t on test I’ve taken it three times!! Ain’t no way in hell a dam 1st-6th grader can tell me 10% of what’s on that test let alone a teacher from today…if you notice they have coaches to do history classes now…also living in Texas you know how they are with history…they don’t want it to be taught

This video gives an overview of the #1, most important, if-you-can-only-study-this-one-thing overview. Our study guide covers each tested standards of the exam; if you could sum up exactly what to study in a 7 minute video, it wouldn't be a difficult test.
So the video is meant to be an introductory resource- not a comprehensive one

Can I still use this video as a guide for the 391 test? Or did the new test change the format of the SS section as well?

I'm so nervous. I can't not pass my exam. If I fail, I'll have to retake the new 391 instead.

Why do I have to compete all of the quizzes before I can take the practice test. It's ridiculous.
We have the Diagnostic Assessment as a great way to gauge your preparedness- its about 50-60 questions- so its very similar to a full-length practice test.
