I've been playing Ping Zing clubs since they cam out in the early '90's. Now that I' 68, I'm hitting those irons 15 yards less than several years ago. I just went for an iron fitting, and the G425's were by far the best fit for me. With the senior flex graphic shafts, I had a much tighter grouping than all the other clubs I tried, including my Zings, and I got the 15 yards back.

For me it depends on the price ive gamed the Speedzone and cut 10 of handicap they are roughly £600 a set 5-gw, everything a high handicapper wants forgiveness distance etc. If these come out £800 I don't think I could justify the extra £200 however I game the G410i driver it just works. My new dilemma is I like the control I get of the King MIM wedges and fancy blending say Mizuno MP20 range as I do get the odd wowser that just flys of 200+ from the speedzones on a 7 iron and can fly oob long
I miss a distance players iron version of those and due to that prefer Callaway Apex 21 or Mizuno Forged 921/ HMP combo. But i LOVE their hybrids and will definitely get a g425 hyrbid. Just need to figure the flex, as I am approaching the stiff flex area gradually but am not yet sure about going there...
These new Pings are really a good looking iron and would look good in the bag of many players. Not to mention that they could enhance their performance and enjoyment on the course.
I will be testing when lockdown ends, in the market for new irons after struggling for 2 seasons with mizuno jpx919 hot metals. Keen to know your thoughts on a comparison on the g425 and g710’s?
Yep you caught me giggling 🤗 when you MISSED the green 😜. Is there any/much difference between the 425 & the g710. I'm thinking of upgrading my old g10.how much stonger are the lofts.🤔🤔
Definitely like to see the Eye2 v G425. I currently still play my i3+'s... However, I'm interested in your test models being red dots. I've been advised to play red/orange dots, despite being 6ft and being blue dot per the ping system... Were the red dots for you or just the demo models you were given?
Lol can't believe how many of the golf tubers top bloke has rubbed up the wrong way! You're actually doing what he's asked for now. That's a victory to him if you ask me.
Using Ping Eye 2's right now that were nice hand-me-downs from my dad. I've been looking to upgrade to the G425's so would love to see that comparison!
I like them, Mark - bit biased as played GMax and now G710 as not very quick swing and it helps gain some a bit of distance. It would be interesting to see a comparison between the 425 and the 710 as performance ranges seem to be blurring with each new release!
G425 Irons are another great Ping product. I’d like to understand your comment that you prefer your Srixon’s because you prefer consistency. I saw that data that they spin more with a higher launch angle, but they were also farther offline than the 425. What do you mean by more consistent? I’m really interested in new irons and I’m in the market for player distance or possibly these Pings. Always appreciate your reviews.
Dunno why Mark was unenthusiastic. Mark could use these in the bag based on the numbers. Half the dispersion. 10mph higher ball speed. 15y more carry. Only a few degrees lower descent angle. Lofts seem jacked a few degrees so half a club difference yet better dispersion makes it a winner
I always think I can game G series (have used G2, G10, G30) but I get that wanderlust... using AP2s currently... G400 onwards look pretty good behind the ball tho...
Can you show that the mb/blade is more consistent? I've had 'game improvement irons' and I could still tell a bad shot and the yardage suffered. My 'player' irons dont magically all go the same distance. As for the G425 irons, I really struggle with the chonk. I have a perception with sleeker irons that I have more options with different lies.
I had these for year there very forgiving , but I tended to hit them left but they went miles my only con would be hard to judge yardage because the ball ballons off the face hot I’d like something a tighter not so much forgiveness😊
I have a set of these clubs and have been using them for a couple of years. Overall very happy with the club and the solid feel they provide.

I will be testing when lockdown ends, in the market for new irons after struggling for 2 seasons with mizuno jpx919 hot metals. Keen to know your thoughts on a comparison on the g425 and g710’s?
Hi Mark, I like to hit my shots high not bother getting the ball far so do you think I should get the retro loft instead?
I’m still gaming Karsten 2014 irons. Is it time to upgrade?
Yes please!!! Compare with the Eye 2! "G425 IRONS ARE..." solid boom sticks.
Yep you caught me giggling 🤗 when you MISSED the green 😜. Is there any/much difference between the 425 & the g710. I'm thinking of upgrading my old g10.how much stonger are the lofts.🤔🤔
Mark, you like the black 710’s more than these? I’m about to buy a set and wondered your opinion?
G425 iron are..... in my next test bag even if just as a base model to compare others against.
Definitely like to see the Eye2 v G425.
I currently still play my i3+'s... However, I'm interested in your test models being red dots. I've been advised to play red/orange dots, despite being 6ft and being blue dot per the ping system... Were the red dots for you or just the demo models you were given?
Lofts considered, I think you would score the same with these irons against 20 year old clubs!!! Be an interesting compare. Enjoy your vlogs
Another great informative video Mark 👍🏼 how would you compare the G425 irons against the G410’s ❓🤔 ❓
"G425's are..."
Would certainly like to try them currently using ping g410 driver, 3 wood and hybrids .
I play g400 irons they are good these certainly look nice though
G425 irons are my possible combo with i210’s. Or maybe i500’s With i210’s.
I have ping i irons and they are wonderful seeing comparison would be interesting
Looking forward to getting out an hitting them, to be honest I will probably buy them to replace my G400 irons
Mark, question I can see that your pings are red dot what is you height and wrist to floor length?
I have them and I think they are to light so I wander if I can change the weight
I had these for year there very forgiving , but I tended to hit them left but they went miles my only con would be hard to judge yardage because the ball ballons off the face hot I’d like something a tighter not so much forgiveness😊
