I'm so glad to see you take care and leaving the clothes you look at folded. Too many times I have seen resellers go through them and just leave them in a heap after they were folded nicely when they got to them. Kudos to you for being one of a few resellers that's cares about the sellers stuff even if you don't buy the thing you looked at.
I think that's just common courtesy cuz it's hard work to set up a garage sale good comment
Yeah I have helped my parents set up for a sale and the clothing was the worst. We would keep them in sizes and they would be just left in a mixed up pile. So when I see resellers take care of the clothing and make sure they fold the stuff after they open the stuff up I want to tell them that it's an awesome thing they are doing.

Lol I don't even get that courtesy and I sell clothing at clothing popups. People will look at pants on a table then not fold them the same way to show the Levi's or Carhartt tag.
I have Matilda Jane….bins and bins of it. When I do a sale, I literally steam them to get the wrinkles out and hang the stuff behind me where I sit. They always ask “do u have more” and of course I do lol. I have 4 girls and sold this stuff as a Jane. Well I had a pair of ladies come one time and they went to pulling stuff off the hangers, letting it drop on the ground and I’m about to blow. I finally snatched it all back up, tossed it in the bin I had pulled out for them to see and started taking it back inside. One of the women began to play tug of war with me saying she was buying it, it was HERS and that she would call the police if I took it back 🤣
I looked her dead in the eye and told her I grabbed the wrong bin, changed my mind, didn’t want to deal with a low baller to boot when I can sell it on eBay for 3x what she wanted to pay. I’m not stupid but I AM sometimes lazy and just didn’t want to go through listing a bunch. That pair set me off and I haven’t put that MJ out since.
When u come into someone else’s home (yard) u behave urself and don’t act a fool or be disrespectful. I’d never had anyone act that way. Be messy yes but I can just bite my tongue and deal. This pair of ladies were over the top and if I remember correctly, I ended up pulling my signs and calling it a day after that.
When I don’t know prices like the beautiful lamps, I use google lens instead of just walking buy and missing an opportunity. They were gorgeous

Check your amber pieces with a black light. Natural amber will glow.
Those scanners require updates and those updates are never cheap. But for 50 bucks I would've been on that joker with the quickness. Excellent score.

I love the amber pieces. A good keyword could be “Outlander” because one of the books was called Dragonfly in Amber. There are a lot of fans. Kat has been selling amber jewelry and might could help out too. There is a market for it. And the clasp on the bracelet is an expensive closure, called a lobster clasp I think. Usually only see it on higher end stuff. Have a great vacay!

Look up history of amber it is stuff trapped in harden tree sap that float up from the Baltic sea once in awhile.
You are right about the scanner you never know what those you can piece them out and make money I do it all the time good job my friend

is that how people are asking soo much different prices on ebay? some are alot and some are not alot and i couldnt really understand why.
I also know that good amber is not mounted with anything less than silver. Yes, if you can see insects which are encased ina medium which is Jurassic in age, people are going to be more interested. Definitely worth polishing up the silver, make it look really top end. I think in your video, the seller turns to her husband and says she paid a couple of hundred. I think both pieces were great sizes, too. Good luck!!
When jurassic park hit theaters chinese fake amber flooded the market and I can't tell the difference so I've avoided them altogether. Those are cool and hopefully they are a good pickup. Fossil hunting and collecting as a youth was a lot of fun.
if i could do anything for like a month or so it would be going looking for fossils - i met a person in North Carolina that owned a store that does it and that is something thats on my bucket list
I bought a pile of beer steins for very cheap. Listed them separate and they didn’t sell so I listed them as a group and still didn’t sell after like 3 weeks so I forgot about eBay.. then I see emails from eBay saying I had a buyer at some point after I gave up, didn’t deliver so I owe them money and can’t sell on eBay anymore. Lol. Shit! Guess I should’ve cared a little more. Just wanted to dip my feet as it’s so fun to garage sale. My mom always took me to the military housing areas as a kid to rummage and I love it! These videos make me want to try again. Don’t need the money per se but it’s so much fun! Thanks for making me want to try it again. If I can make a couple hundred bucks a weekend having fun, it’s worth it. Usually I have to pay to have fun.

Tools are funny to buy sometimes have to look and see if sockets are worn especially wobble sockets for torquing lug nuts scanner is older but sure will make profit off all of it
yea and making sure some old sockets were not hit with a hammer or cracked is another one

You could always start the price high and reduce it every week or so until someone buys it. Either as a set or separate.
Dude next to that huth mitey mate jr tool machine thing there’s like huge socket attachments or something those round black things there’s a bunch I forget what they are but I’ve seen those somewhere before,just individual ones are expensive
yea they are usually hub sockets right - i used them for 4x4 front locking hubs - if not name brand i usually get $10 for them - new they are super expensive though - ill have to go back and look at the video to make sure im looking at the right thing

Tools are where it’s at! Seriously! And when they go at an auction, wow! Small rural towns will make you a good living just on tools. If I know the name, I buy them. Can usually double my money to a friend. eBay has not been my friend though. I just don’t know how to use it
Enjoy your channel, if someone is playing switch up on prices, one good tool to use is walk away and buy nothing, then they lose a sale or two. Do not go back due to them being dishonest and let others know. Avoid their yard sale like the plague.
I really don't worry about it it's like past history I just walk away and go on my way and have a good time

@@beardedthriftmachine, that is so cool! I assume that glowing white indicates that they are diamonds? Rubies also glow under UV light. They glow a fluorescent magenta color.

That model Snap-on scanner is no longer supported by Snap-on and quite outdated but if it works the obd1 capabilities alone make it worth $250-300. No one would ever use the obd2 so the keys are not required. To be clear this will work for pre 1995 cars that are obd1.

All those connectors for the scan tool are for cars older than 1996. Everything 96 and newer uses the obd2 and those keys. The scan tool it self is probably not worth much unless you pay 500+ for an update. I wonder if you even broke even
we sold the scanner for over 200 and each scan plug we sold for $10 each - everything is sold - i even sold the cord for i think $20

Your title was a bit of a stretch. If it was about the guy you bought tools from, it wasn’t even clear what price he was changing but I assumed it was the first thing for $10 became $15. If so, that was one item …so not changing prices (plural). Also, if you don’t transact on the sale, the deal isn’t done but most people will still honor the stated prices if you move it to a pile. All of that and the guy might have simply made a mistake.
In my opinion, the lady who gave you a price of $5 probably didn’t feel good about you “negotiating” a dollar off. It looked a bit awkward and if this is essential to being successful as a picker, I suggest that you simply let the stay for someone who will pay asking price. You can always come back later towards the end of their sale to see if a markdown is possible. At a minimum. I would recommend AGAINST publishing that type of buying. It seems to be poor form and could eventually create a persona non gratis feeling towards pickers. The prices are usually set low to get stuff gone anyway. If they are not, then put it back …just like you do at the thrift stores.
